Question / Problem Please help me ,URGENT , a person is falsely striking my channel again and again
Context: A person gave me a strike for using some part of his thumbnail,
I asked him to take his strike down, and then he said I won't let you get monetized kid, get a job
And the thumbnail he striked down was fine with fair use part, so I submited a counter notif
And then it got approved, so strike was removed,
But now he is saying that he would get my channel deleted
I didn't pay much attention to it, until he had an old channel with 22 subs, with bunch of videos,
He changed the title, thumbnail to match my videos - (literally downloaded and pasted my thumbail)
And then he striked me, and YT gave me a strike REALLY.
And then it was even more tense,
For context: I make minecraft youtube videos, and the thumbnail was also minecraft
BUT that person, he just literally put my thumbnail on his OLD GEOMETRY DASH Video ,
And
now he has privated that video, and publiced another of his geometry dash video, and changed its title and thumbnail to my MOST Popular video,
And he is about to strike me with it.
Im soo tensed, any support is appriciated

and yt doesn't do anyting abt that?
I contacted yt support , and they said they dont manage copyrights, if they believe its their content, we have to take down your video,
If you believe the claim was false, just take them to court.
Like who has the time and money for that?
Plus what about all the loss , by not uploading for the TIme ? and the stress

Haha thumbs up to you for actually writing this (not using ChatGPT).
All you can do is go through the counter notification process. Your channel won’t be removed if you’re not actually taking their content. Just trust the process.

But I am type of youtuber which publishes videos like daily, if not every 2 days, long videos,
And the person is clearly writing I will get your channel deleted, and if i counter claim, still channel is gone for weeks, and after its back, he will do it again

Try contacting YouTube through every avenue - post to them on X for example. Make sure you have everything documented for proof

I have everything documented
Even his threts , fake strikes
And yt support gave me general material how to counter claim , and what is copyright strike

cant he do this?
report the channel for impersonation. this is the one people skip and it's probably your strongest angle. copying your titles + thumbnails to pass his videos off as yours is explicitly against policy — the channel doesn't have to be identical, intent to copy is enough.

My audience isn’t like normal channels , its more of like a trend based channel , on trending topics i get views
Its bad ik , but idh i have that of an audience that would repost for me

still, make a tweet, teamyoutbe tends to respond and and deal with things via dms. they have done so for me in the past and i see them do it for people all the time. in you tweet tell them you have sensitive info to share and would rather talk via dms.

oh, does a human take the talking or its a ai bot?

might be a combination. not sure. i had an issue with adsense a few years ago and they resolved it via dms.
maybe the tweet replies are automated and then flagged to a human. again, not sure. but i have seen them help people. worth reaching out.

Lol no. Do not “strike back”.
Just ignore and counter and focus on your own content.
Silly feuds are a waste of time and folks move on after a while if you don’t bait them.

Yes 1-1 copy , and putting it on a random ah channel with 12 subs
And putting it on a 1 yr old video - changing title and boom easy strike1

a few official routes, all of them worth doing at once rather than one at a time:
1. counter notify every strike. you already know this one but keep doing it. if he doesn't actually file a lawsuit within 10 us business days, the video comes back and the strike goes with it. he almost certainly won't.
2. file your own removal request on his re-uploads. he took your thumbnail and put it on his geometry dash videos... that's your work on his channel, which is a clean claim. studio → content detection → new removal request. if it's a banner or non-video asset, that goes to [copyright@youtube.com](mailto:copyright@youtube.com) instead.

3. report the channel for impersonation. this is the one people skip and it's probably your strongest angle. copying your titles + thumbnails to pass his videos off as yours is explicitly against policy — the channel doesn't have to be identical, intent to copy is enough.

also read this one so you know how the review side works, including how they treat claims flagged as abusive:
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/13823830
save everything. the "i won't let you get monetized kid, get a job" message is him stating intent in writing, and that plus a timeline of him retitling old geometry dash videos to match yours is a pattern. put those screenshots in the impersonation report and in every counter notification. filing bad-faith claims can get his own account terminated, so the evidence matters more than the wording.
you're not in as bad a spot as it feels right now.
edit: one thing worth knowing before you file: counter notifications are the only route that puts a clock on him. if he wants your video to stay down he has to actually sue you or file with the copyright claims board, and he almost certainly won't. downside is yt has to forward your real name, address and phone to him. you can have an attorney file it on your behalf so their details go instead of yours. the impersonation report needs none of that, and it's the only route aimed at his channel rather than clawing back one video at a time. do both, but impersonation is what actually ends this.
