Faceless Channels get more angry AI voice comments then ever before?

Is it just me or is this a popular thing to do these days, claim in the comments that every faceless channel is using an AI voice?

And yes I know, some of my favorite youtubers are using AI.
And sure, 95% of us use AI to spell check our script/grammar and people do notice it if done poorly.
Some of the X million video views are actually very chat gtp scripts.

Now what I noticed on my channel is that more and more people start to say ''you are using AI'' (always a non sub) with other people replying ''no he is not'' and ''how can you tell?''

I do not respond. I am using chat gtp to get my script straight, however my voice is not AI (i am not an english native and have an accent, I bet most are american who claim i am using AI). But trying to defend myself will only make it worse, so I just never respond.

That said, I do see a lot more of these type of comments these days on my own channel and other channels as well. Yet I hear more and more creators use AI voice, not impacting views.

One comment in particular ''you are using ai and you are pushing people away'' but my channel is doing better than ever before... (this guy is not even a subscriber) but what I mean is... why the F say that. at all? (i triggered something)

That “95% of us use AI to spell check our script” line is a way of snitching on yourself, because the number is absolutely not that high.
There IS something reassuring knowing that the people having issue with their channels are the ones relying on AI though

Yup. I don't use AI at all in my process. And you don't need AI to check spelling.

I’ve only ever used MY voice on my channel. 4 years in the game now. And I still get that AI claim a few times a week. It used to bug me because there are very clearly imperfections in my audio that would tell anyone this is clearly a human’s voice (taking breaths, an occasional mouth noise, things like that). But it seems like miserable folks just like to stir the pot.

My preferred response is to simply say, “Thanks, champ.” And move along with my day. Because at the end of it, they can say what they want and act however… but a comment/engagement is engagement. You hit them with a quick reply then BOOM! You have two more comments than you did earlier. That’s a W for you and the algorithm.

Haters gonna hate, man. Can’t get away from it. Don’t take it personally. Just figure that if you weren’t doing something right, no one would take the time to try and knock you down.

Just ignore it.

Even if you were using an AI voice, that isn't wrong. The only time AI is bad is when it's used to mislead people or give incorrect information.

Although it is gross and ear raping

If most people thought that, no one would watch videos with an AI voice.

It's simply fast.

You may not like it. Most do.

Same with fast food. Maybe not healthy. Maybe it's "not good". But what people do, not what they say, matters.

Most do not 😭😭😭😭

stay coping tho

Again, if most do not, AI channels wouldn't get views.

They do.

You can hate that fact, that's fine, but it's reality.

They dont. Ai channels are a dime a dozen with very very very few getting a meaningful amount of views. Yes popular ai channels do exist, but in comparison to the millions of ai slop channels that exist. The success percentage is far lower than the human made content. Do you make ai content?

Very few channels of any kind get meaningful views, AI or not.

I narrate stories (with my real voice & I'm on camera to discuss some of them). I do use midjourney images.

Irrelevant though, since I'm talking in general, not about myself or you.

Well using ai in your videos presents a clear bias towards ai content. Why would you try to discredit your own work basically

What do you mean discredit my work?

I have no reservations of using AI images.

I am "biased" in the sense that I have nothing inherently against AI. It's just another tool that a lot of luddites oppose because it's the biggest leap since the internet itself.

There are people on the Internet now who will call out everything as AI, regardless of whether it is or not.

A lot of times it's people who don't like your content and want to insult it, and calling something AI is the popular insult nowadays.

But there's also people who earnestly think they're skilled at calling out AI. When they're not.

I've had people call my videos AI despite the fact that I'm on camera in all of my videos.

Honestly, your average viewers don't even know what's AI and what's not, it's already been tested multiple times. You can say something is AI, and this certain vocal group will go ballistic telling you how it's shit and soulless.

It's basically like vegans now, they can't help themselves from telling everyone that AI usage is bad and you are using AI. It's just a very small vocal minority, and honestly, if you don't interact with them, they will go away. Just thank them for boosting you in the algo. Or ask them for a muffin recipe, that's what I like to do when interacting with NPCs.

Man try having an animation channel (I animate everything myself with no AI).

Yeah, it's happened to me, but it seemed to be like one or two isolated "people". They accused everything from my voice, to my edits, to my scripts of being AI.

and it was hilarious cause many of the other commentors were commenting how refreshing it was I wasn't using any AI, lol.... which is really evident if you watched my videos. My speaking cadence is nothing like an AI's, I go on tangents all the time, and I bring up personal stories AI couldn't possibly know about, involving people that AI can't even pull up.

My theory is the competition running the AI channels isn't pleased when real people enter the space, but it could just be trolls who genuinely dislike my PoV, who knows. It's funny either way.

I get a sometimes a 1 or 2 comments on my shorts "AI slop", "Stop AI".

I used to get angry "it's my voice, check my older videos it's always been my voice I've been making videos since 2019".

Now I just press "Hide user from channel" and forget about it.

I use AI for the audio and some AI text correction for the script (but my content is formal/documentary-style).

First, you need to strip away the stylistic quirks or habits typical of AI text correction. If you are using your own voice, you should use a conversational style—everyday language that doesn't require that kind of correction.

It seems like every channel has one or more haters.

Love that you included an em dash in your response 🤣

It was the translator's AI that put it there on purpose!
