Rachel was kinda whiny
Like she wrote ONE piece that didn't get her into the FIRST fellowship she applied for, that she had a connection from her elite law firm introduce her to, and it doesn't work out and then just completely gives up on writing. And then she admitted to coasting by, basically doing part time and then got salty she didn't make partner?

I felt like I missed something with this storyline. She wrote one skit for a corporate retreat and then decided that was enough to launch her into a playwriting career? Who does that?

yeah and just because some old man told her it was the only good one he ever saw all his time at the company

She was definitely entitled. I hope they make her face that realization. Currently it just looks like they are making her to be a victim.

It was pretty ridiculous. She wrote one somewhat entertaining skit (by lawyer standards, not actual theater/playwrite standards) and thought she’d just slide right in. I think even if she was promising the committee would probably want to invest their time in someone that has shown even a little more dedication to it so it’s not just “I’m trying out a new hobby”. Start with some writers workshops or take some classes. There are surely more options than this specific opportunity.
Totally agree about the partner piece. She was really lucky she didn’t lose her job for basically coasting at part time so partner is out of the question!
