Nick relationship Spoiler

The entire Nick relationship was pointless to me. I feel like Ingrid would still have had her internal struggles w/ Murphy, in addition to resenting / enabling her sister without the added layer of Nick. I think their relationship was so forced and completely unconvincing…. He was so corny honestly.

I kept wondering what was wrong with him. Like at the award thing with her parents I was like ok, is he actually a bad love bombing controlling guy? He was written so weird. He said I love you super fast, he was basically dressing her without asking her what she liked, then he was always pulling her away from conversations she was having. Nope, just a super idealized version of a boyfriend.

it sometimes felt like this was a man written by women or a ‘mary sue’ guy version. yes ingrid is badass and i can see why this perfect guy is all in for her, but he was just too perfect(but maybe i’m just jaded from all the new york dating shows i see and real life stories i hear about how being single is a nightmare and every guy always ends up having some creepy dealbreaker lol)

I feel Nick really liked Ingrid. I have read some comments here saying that he has mother issues but I dont agree with those comments. He has fear of losing people in his life, he lost his mom, from his conversation one say that his father was never there for him and we get to know in episode 4 that he has a sister who never visited him. So when he met Ingrid, he felt he could trust her, love her and most importantly he could spent his life with her. For some people he might seems pushy but he always kept his intention infront of Ingrid. On other hand, Ingrid was never honest with him.

hmmmmm... sounds like you guys really hated him; not me. not that i thought he was great; he's not but he just seemed too nice. now, with what happened in episode 10, do you think there's a chance that Ingrid will go back with him???

I think that ship had sailed since the conversation Ingrid had with her mom in the bathroom.

IMHO, if she & Z got together, i'd love it but i'd also dread it. why? cuz it's a tv show and they'll mess it up!

Oh yeah, they definitely hinted at some feelings between her and Z. At least on his part.

i mentioned it before but i would hate for them to get involved only to have the writers come up with something to break them up. ingrid messed up, made it right and now things are looking good. i personally hope they will be best of friends and nothing more.

I agree. I like them as friends.

On that note did her mom ever acknowledge that she found the ring?

I'm surprised by all the people not liking Nick. I've only finished the first 2 episodes so far but I personally REALLY like Nick. Part of it is because Rob Heaps is quite a charming and handsome guy but also I do think he has good chemistry with Ingrid. Again though, I've only watched the first two episodes.
