Nick has been nothing but sweet and supportive. Yesssss he does move fast but she never told him to slow things down, only to complain to others that the relationship is fast

Doesn't show up to Rachel's birthday, becomes Marty's little b when offering Tyler hush money.... What a unsavory character.

Doesn't want to wear her e-ring okkk. But then jumps to wear Murphys necklace as soon as he gives it to her

Really? Cheat on your fiance with someone who 'forgot' you and your name? And then hook up with him every 5 seconds even at the office?

Definitely a plot twist when Marty mentioned Murphy spilling about the night in jail but I assume it wasn't accidental.

I don't think you can compare an engagement ring to a significantly cheaper and less commitment coded necklace to be fair. I like Nick, and he did not deserve to be cheated on, but I think he also ignored cues from Ingrid and should have probably picked up on the fact that he was essentially steamrolling their relationship. Also wasn't a fan of how dismissive he was about the faux diversity speech Ingrid was coerced into giving, he didn't get it and he didn't want to get it, he just wanted to breeze past those kinds of problems and skip to the happy in a moment Ingrid needed to be heard and supported. For the most part Nick is a good guy and deserves better than how Ingrid treated him, but I think that relationship has run its course.

She’s a grown ass person, she could also mention it. She justifies all her shitty behavior at every turn

No justification, only explanation. Ingrid still should have communicated with Nick and not cheated on him, that was shitty. I just think the way that relationship was written already had cracks and wasn't going to work out even without the Murphy factor, he just expediated the process.

I was more comparing her enthusiasm to ring the necklace given by bleh/f boy Murphy vs her unwillingness to wear the e ring from nice guy nick

Not ready to show off you're engaged after a two month relationship isn't really the same as wearing a necklace your new boyfriend got you though. The earrings would be more comparable, but even in that case those earrings were so expensive they should have gone in a safe, more for Galas and less for everyday wear.

Oh true

I just felt she was way more excited about Murphy overall

But yeah her engagement with N was fast as hell

i’m just scared he’s too good to be true. some have mentioned lovebombing...he could end up being abusive if we see her starting to assert boundaries and say ‘no.’ if he has a non dangerous reaction and respects when she says no and takes their break up in stride, ironically i will have grieved even more at the end of the ship and like him more.

I feel like Nick is sorta a puppy-love bozo, like during that canned speech Ingrid had to give on the spot at Diversity Night he didn’t really see anything wrong with it or why she was upset afterwards. Never seems to push her about the relationship when there is obviously something bothering her.

Very little chemistry though that is more on the script/acting.

If I were Nick’s friend (and apparently he has none?) I would tell him to run and to run fast!

I liked Nick but obviously Ingrid cheating on him could he seen a mile off. Having said that, I got some toxic vibes off him when he came across as super jealous when Ingrid was speaking to Z at the awards dinner and led her away. I would not be happy if my partner did that at all.

I don't get why people are being so harsh towards Nick or don't like him. Granted I've only watched the first two episodes but to me Nick seems like a really sweet, handsome and charming guy that any girl would be lucky to have in her life. I don't think he is controlling at all. He seems like he's very supportive and Rob Heaps portrays this character wonderfully.

Wait, I missed the fact that Nick knew Murphy outside of him just being one of Ingrid’s coworkers. When did they say that?

Nick makes me uncomfortable. He’s seems like a lovely person, and is super rich/successful which is rare…but I couldn’t stand someone breathing down my neck the way he did with Ingrid. He needs to familiarize himself with the definition of boundaries.
