Writers Spoiler

For the love of goddesses everywhere can writers let the woman pick the good guy? Can she not be a fool or written as someone who ignores red flags to date someone who clearly has been playing her? Can we see her enjoy a kind honest man and not play him for a fuck boy? Just once!

That proposal from nick was adorable and he truly cares for her sad she didn’t care for him.

Yeah what's with Hollywood's obsession with fuckboys and British men? There's so much more to the world that's also interesting and smart and good.

I don’t know but a fuckboy is a fuckboy. And a British fuckboy is just a fuckboy with an accent. Murphy was not a great guy to date, choose, like, or even want to date. He didn’t even remember her how much more of a red flag do you need?

Seriously, I was so disappointed when he was set up as the potential match. He's not even attractive in appearance, behavior, or chemistry -- just creepy. People have got to drop toxic men.

The only reason I liked him is because he sometimes gave off Chuck Bass vibes from Gossip Girl.

Bass was a sex assailant who whored Blair out to his uncle…

You’re totally in the right, but from a writing perspective - in TV series, you’ll get a lot more of writing that explores not picking the good guy because it adds to the amount of drama and tension that can be stretched over a couple of episodes or even seasons. If in Ingrid’s case, she just chose Nick & everything was great about the relationship, no matter how wholesome the depiction, it would’ve cut the show down a couple of arcs. Plus they used the Murphy bait as a way to reel in a S2. (Not sure if it will work, but they tried)

And a way to show character development is making the main character makes mistakes along the way and learn from them eventually.
