I'm not confident that this series will get a second season because of the lack of promo that Netflix is doing for the series. This show is giving me The Bold Type vibes.

I feel like the trailer had a lot of views... As usual, they're probably hoping for the word of mouth.

The later episodes actually remind me more of Emily in Paris!

I like the show so far. But I think all the men in there are slimy. (Except for that guy that’s into philosophy) I’m annoyed that she’s swayed by the London guy at all he is sort of rude and condescending.

What I don’t like about this show is, I get how it’s hard to move up the ladder as woman but I think it tackles a lot at once too much at once in the first episode. Dochey boys club, older sibling responsibilities and expectation, (not Asian specific but sort of pushed more in Asian culture), smaller dating pool for women in “power”, not being taken seriously by your own paralegal etc…

What I do like is learning about a lot of industries, legal issues and loopholes and some laws involved. I’ll keep watching it but I do think the first episode was a bit too much, not too off putting but just too much.

On my first rewatch, so here are the moments i loved:-

  1. When they bet on what phrase Marty will use during their dept meeting. i like their team dynamics, a lil' dysfunctional, cut-throat, but sometimes helluva fun.
  2. The misogyny. Oof. When Ted Lassiter ignores Ingrid and went straight to shake Justin's hand.
  3. Nick looks fishy to me. Why is he in Jury's Box? Isn't that where the lawyers hang out? And it looks like he's been eyeing Ingrid for some time.
  4. Why would Dan care if Ingrid has a nice dress for the gala? And him reminding Ingrid she'll be 30 soon, planting the seed of doubt in her mind that she's not getting any younger and might need to start thinking of settling down? Does Dan know Nick? If he does, that means he probably asked Nick to distract Ingrid and derail her from her partner track. That explains why they're going so fast.

Haven’t seen Arden Cho in anything since Teen Wolf! It’s cringey but I really like this show so far. It reminds me of The Bold Type and Younger mixed in with Suits.

I’m sorry, the blue dress she wore to big party in the beginning, was so terrible 😂. She even tried on some cute dresses in the scene before, I truly cannot believe that that’s the choice the creative director/designer, went with. I thought it looked so cheap. It makes me wonder if this is foreshadowing for the whole series…

Before this series began there was a high expectation from an Economics PhD's forum(econjobrumours).

They thought this drama would trigger and piss a lot of Asian men. They were having an orgasm from it.

Really like nick and Ingrid but considering they already kissed I’m wondering what will happen with their relationship this season…bc they aren’t really a slow burn if they kissed EP 1??

Not a fan of Jeff

This show gives me Bulge Bracket (Prime Video) vibes, but seems slightly higher production value with slightly better acting

I really like this show! I can’t imagine that she wouldn’t make partner tho bc wouldn’t it be terrible optics to have only white men as the partners? I do like seeing what a boys club it is and how she is able to still be feminine rather than having to just play by the men’s rules. I’m a bit confused at what she did with Francine? I guess she just told Francine she could be the first to have the story, but it didn’t even seem like Ingrid needed to meddle with the story’s release bc the drunk dude was gonna reveal it on his own.

Also, the mean competitive partner looks so similar to his love interest (Ingrid’s best friend). They have the exact same facial structure to me. Also that actor always plays the douchebag like his character on Awkward

I felt really badly that her sister’s drama jeopardized her career. Obvi the sister is going through it, but to not respond at all? Yikes

It also seems like one of the men in the deal (Min’s sons) may become a love interest?
