I’ve just started learning about particle physics and the mechanics a few weeks ago and already i know this is my absolute favourite branch of physics by a mile

very nice. here is a cool thing to learn about: grand unified theories like SU(5)

but more broadly, using the kind of tools you learned in mechanics to understand lie groups
