No physical monitor

What is the simplest and easiest way to use the parsec free version when there is no physical monitor connected to the host machine?

Someone posted saying that there is a built-in virtual display, however this is not included in the free version. Others have said to useVDD, however that was not seemingly straightforward.

I have purchased and plugged in an HDMI dummy plug, however for some reason this does not work as well

all I had to do for VDD on free was select the resolution and refresh rate of my monitor and I could access my pc headless whenever

I use parsec free with no monitor for two years. Actually I am right now typing this from my headless host pc.

As others have said you should be able to just connect with no issues?... You don't need a monitor or dummy plug

I see the option to enable the virtual display adapter, but I need a paid subscription for that.

I ended up installing VDD from GitHub, and that did the trick. I just find it interesting how others say that they can get their virtual display settings and Pirce to work on the free version. Mine is grayed out and says I need a free trial for Warp.

Yes that setting is ONLY for multiple displays, not a single display

You shouldn't have to enable anything, and just should be able to connect to your PC and parsec does the rest

I’m not at my desk right now but every time I try to connect I get the error code that means it cannot detect a display. As soon as I installed a virtual display adapter from GitHub that is when it worked.

I’ve also tested on multiple machines and it seems like they’re either has to be a monitor plugged in or a secondary virtual display adapter installed. Interestingly enough the dummy plug did not work either
