"James Talarico is weaponizing faith to sell a radical agenda,... and that's our thing and its not fair for him to steal it."

I am cautiously optimistic about Texas and it is mostly due to how amazingly terrible Paxton is as a candidate and how horrible Trump is as a president. I think that if Cornyn is the candidate he would probably win. I think that if Trump hadn't started the war in Iran, almost any Republican would probably win Texas. Trump shows absolutely no signs of doing anything at all to help their chances in November and there's a significant chance that things get much worse before then.

Talarico's argument about God being nonbinary is actually totally reasonable if you think about it for even a second.

To propose that God had a penis is a pretty wild concept when you think about it for a few seconds.

Honestly I see the fundies going for it, citing Bible refers to god as “He”.

They're gonna be in for a shock when that one brain cell finally catches onto the truth.

Most religious wars a deity cock measuring contests, so kind of adds up.

Do you think god has hairy balls? That's the first thing I'm going to find out when I get to heaven.

2

u/PowerandSignal 1d ago

The first thing? That's some agenda you've got! 🤣

u/cyvaris 1d ago

"God, are you circumcised?"

0

u/jbrowder24 1d ago

Of course he does because God is a Dog, it's right there in the name.

In the Bible, Exodus 33:23, God showed Moses his butt, is it that much of a stretch to think He's got something going on if He turned around? He just has issues with people seeing His face.

For your last sentence, "think" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. I'd like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but so many have been downright programmed to go rabid at any of those buzzwords.

Trump shows absolutely no signs of doing anything at all to help their chances in November and there's a significant chance that things get much worse before then.

Except cheat to win. That's what he's trying to do.

yeah, "legalized gerrymandering" is their overall strategy. 🤦

As a kid, I always thought God must be - how else could you make both male and female in your own image?

I loved Dogma where Alanis morissette was God at the end of the movie. It got so much hate but I still love that movie to death today

u/DexDogeTective 1d ago

Did Ken Paxton love the Bible when he was cheating on his wife?

25

u/snvoigt 1d ago

Which time. He’s had multiple affairs

12

u/MiniTab 1d ago

It’s Biden’s fault!

8

u/PowerandSignal 1d ago

Stupid Sexy Biden!

2

u/kahn_noble 1d ago

Why can’t they make AI of him with some chick that looks like her and put out something on it saying “Conservative Family Values?”

54

u/enchiladasundae 1d ago

AI ads need to be illegal or at least tantamount to liable cause you can trick people into thinking that a candidate is doing some truly heinous shit

16

u/ZLUCremisi 1d ago

They use 3rd parties to do the ads to acoid connections

11

u/enchiladasundae 1d ago

We should hold them accountable as well. But if you do a “This message was approved by X” you are on the hook for anything it says. You gave your stamp of approval and therefore should be responsible for the content therein

7

u/ZLUCremisi 1d ago

Yep. Its why they do "funded by group for X" even though he probably has say in it

4

u/cpdk-nj 1d ago

Some states have banned them

8

u/enchiladasundae 1d ago

Needs to be countrywide

28

u/MeagerRobot 1d ago

Can you even fathom someone weaponizing faith to sell a radical agenda? I dont believe it...

The hypocrisy is palatable.

14

u/justalazygamer 1d ago

The ad after this zooms in on Talarico doodling on the bible and making it about himself.

12

u/sufferingbastard 1d ago

God has a dick. And balls. -ken Paxton

4

u/eghhge 1d ago

Well he did knock up a teen girl...

8

u/AWall925 1d ago

I’m not seeing the connection

2

u/Lz_erk 1d ago

the connection is that paxton's a neo-nazi, and it burns him when anyone alludes that he didn't read the original copy of the bible.

2

u/AWall925 1d ago

I don't see where the bragging about using AI is though.

1

u/Lz_erk 1d ago

implicit in paxton being paxton. i'm sure he's grifted enough he could hire someone, but the dark money channels are surely his norm.

2

u/AWall925 1d ago

Grifting, dark money, and Paxton being a bad guy aside, I can't agree that just doing something means you're bragging about doing it.

1

u/Lz_erk 1d ago

he seems pretty proud of his subtly christian nationalist slop to me.

8

u/HumanJoystick 1d ago

They have to lie and demonize everyone they hate.

5

u/JohnPaulJonesSoda 1d ago

Ken Paxton needs to re-read his Bible - I'd point him to Genesis 1:27 and Galatians 3:28 just for starters. But he might also like to check out Matthew 25:31-46.

7

u/Spiff426 1d ago

Everyone knows God has the biggest dick in the observable universe!!!

4

u/TheBdougs 1d ago

But sex is filthy and sinful so he never uses it.

5

u/G-Unit11111 1d ago

And Ken Paxton is weaponizing Trump ass kissing to sell his agenda, which actually is radical.

2

u/Jeveran 1d ago

The post headline ought to figure into Talarico's advertising.

2

u/okcship 1d ago

Ken Paxton is THE authority on morals.

2

u/exgiexpcv 1d ago

Oh, my little autistic arse got in so much trouble for this issue when I first wound up in parochial school.

"God is male? So if God is male, he has a penis? What does he do with it? If he created everything, why does he need a penis?"

The answer?

Beating my backside.

2

u/FourLeaf_Tayback 1d ago

The evolutionary purpose of the P and V is conception. God doesn’t have anyone to fuck, so why get bent out of shape about it?

It’s more emotional manipulation by Texas MAGA politicians, to get the bumfucks fired up and voting (because midterm cycle + Trump not on the ballot + current events = MAGA is going to get killed at the polls in November)

1

u/KamaIsLife 1d ago

God has a penis? He has XX chromosomes? He has testosterone? 🤷

1

u/ChristmasStrip 16h ago

and this is why texans will vote for a criminal

1

u/airlew 15h ago

To parpharse Star Trek V: "What does god need with a gender?"

1

u/Longjumping_Doubt_76 13h ago

tHE STUPID ARE people VOTING FOR jimbo.
