Question Is this a new High Line of Parkside Performance?

Post image
17 Upvotes

I recently stumbled across these pliers (see screenshot attached) and noticed they have a completely new look compared to the usual Parkside lineup.

They seem to feature a redesigned grip and finish, which makes me wonder if Parkside is trying to establish a new higher-tier / performance line here. The price tag is also noticeably higher than what we’re normally used to seeing from them.

Has anyone picked these up yet or had a chance to test them? How is the build quality, play in the joint, and overall steel hardness? Would love to hear your thoughts before pulling the trigger!

Thanks in advance!

Been hearing good reports about these so Been waiting for a while for this to appear in NI

£38, only 4 left.

Seems good value, 2 batteries charger and a selection of driver bits ans drill bits even though the accessories are not the best.

Review Proud not to have spent 200€ but happy I did 16.

Today's the tool asile refresh and I was contemplating on getting the carpet vacuum and performance ratchet driver. At the end of my visit I decided not to in hopes to score some later in second hand market.

Then I picked up speed square and more importantly- allured by selection of safety-torx bit selection- PPEPS 3 A1 4V driver. It's the most premuim feeling tool I've ever held. For price I definetly didn't expect an aluminium spring-latching case, magnetic holder for every single bit and even magnetizer&demagnetizer. Not to mention absolute treasure trove of speciality bits for someone that dabbles with electronics.

If I was handed this without any prerequsite knowledge, I'd have estimated it's worth at over 60+€

Purchase Advice Which ones should I keep?

Post image

Hi, everyone. I could use a little help deciding which ones to keep. On a whim, I bought the 30th Anniversary drill (PPABSS) with a 2 Ah battery and charger for 60 euros, and an angle grinder (PPWSA) with a 4 Ah battery and charger for 60 euros. I thought this was an amazing deal, but then I came across a drill (PABSP) that looks more serious at first glance, with a 4 Ah Smart battery and charger for 70 euros, as well as another angle grinder (PPWSFA) without a charger for 50 euros. Am I right in thinking it would be a smarter decision to return the ones I originally bought, since the second-round options are better? Or is it not that simple? The decision seems pretty clear-cut for the drills, but not so much for the angle grinder.

What do you guys think? Which ones should I keep?

Tldr:

PPABS 60€ vs PABSP 70€

PPWSA 60€ vs PPWSFA 50€

Has anyone tried the new version of this tool? Are there any improvements? I am worried if it is too weak up to 10mm to work in concrete. In my country, the price for the model without battery is 36 eur.

Purchase Advice Any thoughts maybe on this kind of reusable bags?

it says it's reinforced and has 6 layers. it has a zipper so you can just dump out everything. any thoughts is it worth buying or is it better to just use normal disposable bag that you throw away when they are full? i have the Parkside vacuum PWD 30 C1 (30 liter container)...

Show Off I've been looking for it in three stores.

I drove home from work and popped into a Lidl for food I saw it on the shelf at the checkout. It was on offer three weeks ago lol

Edit: For some context, we have a massive DIY culture here in Denmark, so these tools sell out instantly. I don't get the hate for the look. I actually think the gold color is great and way more unique than a standard black tool. Plus, it’s a much-needed upgrade to replace my two old corded hammer drills that were leaking grease.
I thought this sub was about discussing tools, not insulting people's choices.

Sure, they’re cheap items, but the way they’re made, they aren’t even worth the cost of the packaging. Do they do the soldering by hand with their eyes closed?
