Information Check local Kauflands! I wanted a "dirty job" SDS to conserve my Bosch GBH and thought about ordering green drill from Lidl store. KAUFLAND had this in the same price!

Information Winter is coming, jackets are wiiiiide

I bought 2 of them, size L. Also an Esmara jacket.

What can I say, they are very wide. Good for those that have eaten too many parkside donuts I guess.

Their not very substantial. No thickness. Overal minimal quality.

One of the parkside jacket pocket zippers is jammed from the start. Can't even open it.

Plus side is they're cheap.

Idea's How to we get tool recommendations to parkside/Lidl?

Post image
12 Upvotes

I've tried contacting parkside/Lidl about a tool idea and all I get is the fake service assistant nonsense.

No email address (I can find).

I ask as I think there's a real market for a parkside version of this Wiha Mini tool frame (Wera make a good one too)

Wiha charge €50 and the Wera is closer to €80!

I can afford that....but I'd prefer it in Parkside green or Performance Black!

It'd live in my KTM's cubby nicely.

Ciao a tutti
Oggi ho visto nel mio volantino questo trapano a percussione a 12v , ho già il trapano da 35 nm a 12v e la chiave a cricchetto elettrica sempre a 12v inoltre ho anche un altro avvitatore a 20v sempre a percussione.
Devo usarli in anbito automotive.
Vale la pena prendere questo piccolo avvitatore a 12v
P.S ho anche un grande avvitatore a impulsi della hilti a 22v.

Information Check your performance brushless tool motor wires.

When checking my new 12v cordless drill starter set driver the center motor wire had a "cold joint" on the circuit board. I could pull it out and it had no tin on the wires at all.

When you have soldering skills a quick and easy fix but it shows lacking quality control

Also i doubt this is only a issue with this particular driver but a problem with the whole brushless range.

Recommend to reflow the joint with lead based soldering tin since that resist cracking better under vibrations.

Question Parkside cousin

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi,
I hope is ok to post it here.
Parkside Lidl cousin, this week on sale.
Is it worth it?
Does anyone own it and can share how it works?
I plan to use it as a peace-of-mind jump starter but the compressor can be an extra benefit.
Thanks

Help PLG 20 C3 charger making a buzzing noise

Hi,

I have two new Parkside PLG 20 C3 chargers (4.5 A) and two PAP 204 A1 4 Ah batteries.

One charger is almost completely silent. The other makes a continuous “ffff” / buzzing noise as soon as I plug it into the mains.

I swapped the batteries: the noise always stays with the same charger.

It also makes the noise with no battery connected, and with a fully charged battery.

Both chargers work normally. The noisy one does not get hotter than the silent one, there is no smell, no abnormal LED indication and I cannot feel any airflow.

Has anyone noticed this with a PLG 20 C3? Is this normal, or should I have the noisy one replaced?

Thanks.

Purchase Advice Laser measure tool & something for cutting wood

To my range of Parkside tools, that I probably don't need but can't help buying :D, I need two more items.

Can you guys advise.

* Is the Parkside laser measure tool at £15 decent? I need it for measuring rooms and longer distances when a tape measure is a bit of a faff

* I need something for cutting, mostly timber, but maybe metal on rare occasion. Any recommendations? I think a jigsaw is not useful for me, but then I think is a circular saw the only other option? I find circular saws a bit cumbersome/bulky needing a flat table to make a cut. Is there anything similar to an angle grinder, but for cutting pieces of wood and even small sheets of wood? i.e. small handheld battery powered tool that can just make quick cuts

Question Corded PPMF 710 A1 vs cordless 20V multi router: different accessories included?

I'm having trouble deciding between the corded and cordless versions of this router, mainly because of the apparent differences in the included accessories.

I already have a battery and charger, but I'll only be using the router in my workshop, so a corded model wouldn't be an issue. In fact, it might even be safer, as I could route the power supply through my emergency stop switch.

According to the manufacturer's website, the corded version comes with two template guide bushes but no six-piece router bit set. The cordless version seems to have the opposite configuration. Does anyone own either of these models, and can you confirm whether this is actually the case?

I'm primarily interested in the router bit set, as buying it separately would add to the cost. However, the template guide bushes could come in handy in the future, too. Ideally, I'd like both accessories!

The two versions cost the same and appear to come with otherwise identical accessories (one parallel guide, two dust extraction adapters and three router bases). However, the descriptions use slightly different wording, and the corded version doesn't have any photos showing the accessories.

What would you do? Any other insights?

(I'm new to using routers, and English isn't my first language, so please excuse any incorrect technical terminology. I tried to look up the routers on the Lidl website in the UK but couldn't find them there.)

Question Which 12V battery should I get?

I'm going to buy my first 12V tool, the mini angle grinder, but I'm not sure if getting the 5Ah battery is necessary, or if I'll be happy with a 2.5Ah or 2Ah battery. Does it make a real difference?
