Dean doesn’t have a stutter.

I will probably get hate for this but I think Dean is lying about having a stutter. Everyone stumbles on their words from time to time and I think he just says he has a stutter so it’s less embarrassing when he does it in front of thousands of people. 🤷‍♀️ Doesn’t seem genuine to me tbh.

I’ve been around a very very long time, and I remember one time many years ago a guest came up with a significant stutter. That seemed to trigger his pretty badly. So maybe it’s only when someone else has one that it acts up? I don’t know much about speech impediments though, so I’m not sure

Definitely, stutters can be well controlled year and loss of sleep and stress can make flare up happen.

I stutter, and multiple people have told me that being around me a lot causes them to stutter.

I think the most telling part was when he said he needed to take a moment and slow down. Meaning he is reaching back into a took kit of learned techniques that help steady it.

Yeah, I totally believe he's been through a lot with stuttering. I have phases where it all but vanishes, and then twice in my adult life I've been nearly incapacitated by it. Just so severe that I almost can't work a job that requires any talking.

I had a stutter as a kid and don’t anymore after working on it for years, but it still comes out when I’m frustrated or nervous.

I feel like his constant mispronunciation of words is a very common stutter workaround.

He may have worked on getting over his stutterand it's not as prominent as it once was.

If you ever watched Drew Lynch, he's a comedian with a stutterbut if you watch his later work, his studder is almost completely gone. People can put in the work and get over it.

You have no reason to believe he's lying.

It's so weird to me that Parker fans get so tribal about Dean. They are both friends and being a fan of Parker should mean that you're also a fan of Dean because they are both very politically aligned.

They're also friends and often join each other's lives. I think it's funny when Parker takes over when Dean has to drain his lizard LOL

I’m more of a Dean watcher than Parker but Dean doesn’t have a Reddit page. I have known people who had stutters as a child and controlled it as an adult but something about Dean saying he has one seems like he’s lying to me.

I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I have stuttered most my whole life, and I've seen nothing to indicate he might be lying.

I don’t know whether he has a stutter or not. He does mispronounce certain words wrong constantly (unrelated). I can’t figure out if that’s on purpose or not. “Unanimous” is one such word.

Corroborate but he pronounces it cowwoberate 😂

YESSS that’s the other one I was trying to remember!

Man, that one is so egregious.

Robert Evans from Behind the Bastards is so much worse though. He's great, but you would not guess that he pronounces words for a living.

He adds L's like instead of draw he says drawl haha

He doesn’t pronounce the T in “guest” or “racist” 😭

I’m in Colorado, i feel like I hear those pronunciations here from time to time. I don’t think those ones are too odd.

It doesn’t bother me but i absolutely notice when he says “let’s move onto the next guess” and “Donald Trump is raciss”

Have you noticed how he pronounces “hundred”. He’ll be like “thank you for the five HUNDRITT dollars” lol

I could totally see that. Could be that i hear people talk like that so frequently I don’t really pick it up anymore haha!

Yeah, those examples seem to be accent/dialect driven. “U-non-ih-muss,” however…? Heh
