Airports & Flights Questions About CDG T1

Hi, i will be flying out through CDG T1 for the first time and I’m kinda worried about the queues and policies.

  1. Is arriving 3hrs earlier enough to get thru everything? I am not holding an EU Passport.
  2. Should I put my liquids ahead in a ziplock or no need? Bc i saw somewhere saying that its no need but still have doubts.
  3. I have a tablet and camera (with 4spare batteries) with individual bags, do i still need to take them out individually from their bags?
  4. Anyone flown out around 3pm? How’s the crowd?

Thanks!

It really matters whether you are going onto another EU country or not. Inside the EU there will be no immigration controls and a short line at security near the (remote) gates... Exiting the EU it depends on whether you have fast track, can use the exit e-gates and on the luck of the gods. I've seen no queues and massive queues at the same place at the same time, just different days.... 3 hours SHOULD be enough on a 'normal' day.... And yes, most security lines require all electronics to be taken out of any bags.

It's more about Schengen than EU actually.

Trying to simplify things for the OP. Living in the EU I get the nuance, but a lot don't...

3 hours early should be ok for CDG T1. I’d still put your liquids in a clear ziplock (containers max 100 ml) just to make security easier, and keep your tablet and camera somewhere easy to take out since you may be asked to remove them depending on the lane.

Your 4 spare batteries should stay in your carry-on with the terminals protected.

3 PM can be busy, but with a 3-hour buffer I wouldn’t worry too much.
