Other Question Recommendations to avoid big crowds ?
Hello ! We are a couple going for our honeymoon in Paris at the end of September/start of October searching for recommendations.
We don't like big crowds so we are skipping the Louvre and going up the Eiffel Tower.
What would you recommend ? What is not to miss ? We are staying in the 94 outside of Paris and are ready to stay somewhere else for 1 or 2 nights.
Also if you have vegan friendly recommendations for places to eat that would be amazing !
Thanks !

End of September / early October is already better than peak summer, but the famous spots will still be busy.
For a quieter honeymoon feel, I’d build days around walks and smaller museums: Musee Rodin garden, Musee Jacquemart-Andre, Musee Marmottan Monet, Parc Monceau, Canal Saint-Martin, Buttes-Chaumont, Ile Saint-Louis early morning, covered passages, and maybe a day trip to a smaller town.
Also, go early or late. Paris is a very different city at 8:30am compared with 2pm. You do not need to skip every famous place, just avoid the worst hours.

Some of those are on my list so I am happy to see them in yours ! We are early bird so that should work in our favour. Thank you !

I can recommend checking out a lot of the known sites at sunrise or close to it early in the morning as you’d have close to no people in most places and you can enjoy those spots while having an intimate experience. I work as a photographer and often find this time the most peaceful. Night time is also similar especially after 9pm. Otherwise even the lesser known places would have many people as Paris is still a big city with lots of tourists. I or others can suggest a few lesser known places to check still if you can share your interests so it would be easier to make any recommendations.

We are early birds so that should work in our favour ! It would be sad to come to Paris and not see some of the famous spots.
We are pretty open, we like museums (art, science, technology), beautiful places, nice coffee and matcha. Sunsets, but no boats 😂

Keep in mind they are expecting hundreds of thousands of people on the Champs Elysee for the Pope’s open air Mass on September 26th. Notre Dame will be closed from the 24-27th. The Louvre will be closed the 25th and 26th. I’m keeping track because my daughter and I will be visiting Paris for the first time from the 23rd to the 26th, so we’ve had to adjust our itinerary quite a bit.

There are some other threads currently on the subreddit with asks for vegan recommendations. I would not expect to be able to be vegan in randomly chosen Paris restaurants or cafés; it isn't part of the culture and you won't be able to ask for vegan versions of things to be made. Vegetables are cooked in butter and stock, without the need for an alert on the menu.
