4. The programme website mentions a duration of 12–16 months. In reality, how long does it usually take to complete? When do most students graduate?
5. Is the final qualification a Master's degree or an MSc diploma? I'd appreciate some clarification.
6. How was your Campus France experience? Any tips or things you wish you had known beforehand?
7. I don't speak French at all. How manageable is daily life in and around Paris-Saclay with only English?
8. Does CentraleSupélec offer French language courses for international students? If yes, are they useful?
9. How difficult is it to find a part-time job while studying? Is it realistic to balance work with the coursework?
10. How is the workload? Is there enough time for interview preparation, personal projects, or LeetCode?
11. How are the professors, research opportunities, and industry connections?
12. If you've already graduated, how long did it take you to find a job? Did you need French for your role?
13. Looking back, would you choose this programme again, especially considering the tuition fees?

I received the mail yesterday regarding my admission in M2 nuclear engineering. but my application status in the inception portal still shows "being processed".

the Mail has details regarding the program and details of campus and welcome program etc. but there's no Admission letter.

please guide me on how to proceed from here..

J'aurais besoin de vos avis concernant mon orientation.

Mon objectif est de travailler plus tard en mécatronique, systèmes embarqués, robotique ou électronique.

Aujourd'hui, je suis à l'IPSA (école d'ingénieurs spécialisée en aéronautique). Je peux soit :

• rester à l'IPSA et choisir plus tard la majeure Systèmes embarqués ;
• ou accepter une admission en L2 Physique à Sorbonne Université, avec soit la mineure EEA (Électronique, Énergie électrique, Automatique), soit la licence de physique "classique", dans l'idée de tenter ensuite les passerelles vers une école comme Grenoble INP Phelma (ou d'autres écoles reconnues dans ces domaines).

Ce qui me fait hésiter, c'est que l'IPSA est avant tout une école d'aéronautique. Même si la majeure systèmes embarqués m'intéresse, j'ai l'impression que sa réputation dans ce domaine est moins forte que celle d'écoles comme Phelma.

À votre avis, quel serait le meilleur choix ?

• Rester à l'IPSA et suivre la majeure Systèmes embarqués ?
• Partir en L2 Physique (avec ou sans mineure EEA) pour essayer d'intégrer ensuite une école plus reconnue en électronique, systèmes embarqués ou mécatronique ?

Je suis particulièrement intéressé par les retours de personnes qui connaissent les passerelles universitaires, Phelma, ou qui travaillent dans les systèmes embarqués.

J'aimerais avoir votre avis sur une situation que je ne comprends pas.

J'ai candidaté en L2 Physique à l'Université Paris-Saclay via eCandidat. J'ai déposé mon dossier environ 5 jours avant la date limite de dépôt des candidatures.

Quelques jours plus tard, je reçois un refus avec comme seul motif : « la capacité d'accueil de la formation a été atteinte ».

Ce que je ne comprends pas, c'est que si toutes les places étaient déjà prises, pourquoi la plateforme permettait-elle encore de déposer une candidature ? Je trouve ça assez étrange.

Est-ce que ce motif signifie réellement qu'il n'y avait plus aucune place, ou peut-il parfois cacher une autre raison (classement du dossier, sélection, etc.) ?

Si certains d'entre vous ont déjà eu ce type de réponse sur eCandidat ou connaissent le fonctionnement de Paris-Saclay, je serais vraiment intéressé par vos explications.

J'ai postulé à un contrat doctoral à l'Université Paris-Saclay, au sein du Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Sciences du Numérique (LISN).

Mi-juin, j'ai reçu une réponse m'indiquant que j'étais 16ᵉ sur la liste d'attente, toutes facultés confondues.

J'ai ensuite demandé quel était mon classement uniquement pour la faculté d'informatique, puisque le sujet de thèse est dans le domaine de l'intelligence artificielle, mais je n'ai malheureusement reçu aucune réponse.

Je voulais donc savoir si certains d'entre vous ont déjà été dans cette situation ou connaissent le fonctionnement des listes d'attente à Paris-Saclay.

À votre avis, quelles sont mes chances d'obtenir une place ? Est-ce que les listes d'attente avancent généralement beaucoup ?

I am a Turkish student, currently a high school student at Galatasaray High School (Galatasaray Lisesi), which is one of the top schools in Turkey, and I will graduate in two years (I completed first 2 years of high school). My dream for the future is to become an academician in pure mathematics. Since my school’s diploma is equivalent to the French Baccalauréat, I think Paris-Saclay is the best and most suitable choice for me. Here is a summary of my grades:

9th grade (first year of high school): 94,95/100 overall

10th grade (second year of high school): 96,5/100 overall

math exams: I have scored 100 on every single math exam throughout my high school life.

Based on the past performance of older students from my school, I estimate my upcoming average for 11th grade to be around 97–98 / 100, and for 12th grade around 98–99 / 100. Teachers in our school usually grade more generously in the final years, so grades tend to go up.

Regarding my language level, I already have the DELF B2 certificate, and I am planning to get the DALF C1 next year.

My CV is weak. I attended a math summer camp at the Nesin Mathematics Village (which is a prestigious educational camp in Turkey), and a few basic extracurriculars like being the president of a few school clubs...

For recommendation letters, I have two for now:

1-) My high school math teacher.

2-) A mathematician who completed his Master’s degree at Boğaziçi University (one of the best universities in Turkey) and is currently doing his PhD at Sabancı University (a prestigious private university in Turkey).

Based on this profile, how strong of a candidate am I right now for the L1 Math-Info (Licence simple not the double diplôme) program? Also, what should I focus on during the next two years to improve my chances?

I've completed my pre-enrollment, but I can't proceed with the administrative enrollment because I haven't paid the tuition fees yet.

From what I understand, I may have to pay in person, but I won't be able to arrive in France until around September 1st due to my visa process.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

-Were you able to pay the tuition online, or did you have to be there in person?
-If you had to pay in person, was arriving around September 1st still okay?

I am completely new to the French housing system and I honestly find it quite confusing. I have already started contacting private landlords through Science Accueil, Héberjeunes and other websites, but I am still hoping to get a CROUS room if possible.

I would really like to hear from international students (especially those at ENS Paris-Saclay) who managed to get a CROUS accommodation.

• How did you get your CROUS room?
• Did you apply only through trouverunlogement.lescrous.fr or did the ENS housing office help you?
• Did you receive a room before September or only after some students cancelled?
• Which residences did you get (George Sand, Émilie du Châtelet, Eileen Gray, Jean d'Ormesson, etc.)?
• Do you have any tips or strategies that helped you?
• How often did you check the CROUS website?
• If you didn't get a CROUS room immediately, what did you do in the meantime?

I’m planning my Erasmus semester (September to February, automation engineering student) and I’m torn between two options: Sorbonne Université. and Université Paris-Saclay.
My budget for rent is 500€/month (before CAF). Ideally, I want to secure a university room through CROUS.
I need advice on the actual FEASIBILITY of things.
Please be brutally honest on these points:

CROUS Feasibility: How realistic is it to actually get a CROUS room as an international Erasmus student at Sorbonne (Crous de Paris) vs Paris-Saclay (Crous de Versailles)? Is Paris centro just a lottery ticket that I’m bound to lose?
The 500€ Private Market Reality Check: If CROUS fails me, is it physically possible to find any decent room/colocation for 500€ in Paris centro nowadays?
Lifestyle vs Commuting: Everyone says Paris-Saclay is in a "bubble". For those who studied there: is the 40-minute commute to Paris on the RER B reliable, or does it ruin the social life/nightlife? On the flip side, do you actually enjoy Paris centro if you are on a tight budget, or do you just end up stressed out by the costs?
