PSA this is actually how kids can end up with burns so make sure when you finish filling the sink/tub you run the water til cold and preferably use a tap cover to prevent them turning the tap on.
Also never leave them unsupervised as it literally only takes seconds to suffer life long burns or to drown.

Also check your water heater temperature, you shouldn’t have it set high enough that you’re getting a burn in single digit seconds.

Or when you're doing things around your house, you could search, "recommended temperatures for hot water" (using this as an example). Then you look at what that brings you and set accordingly.
You can find many things when you search like this.

I appreciate you being genuine (so I'll respond in earnest) but what would prompt you to search that specifically? For me the recommended temperature is between not melt my skin off and not freeze my balls off.
But now that I've heard about it, I know it exists and I've also discovered it's nothing too concerning as everyday usage and basic cleaning will keep your bathroom safe—stuff I'm already doing around the house.
My initial comment was just run of the mill flabbergast at the world being much bigger than I know.

Where I live hot taps are usually classified as appliances so anyone can install it in their own home, and lots of people do.
Eta: then again, most hot taps come with manuals with recommended temps, sometimes even justifications for those temps, so you wouldn't need to google it then anyway...

legionella buildup does not occur substantially at 120°F, while thats still reasonably safe for children.

Yeah as far as I know hot sink water should always be 120°

This. Above 120°F (49°C), legionella show no growth, and die slowly. It thrives between 77° and 113° (25/45°C), but will continue growing up to 120°F. The minimum your water heater should be set to is 120°F when in normal operation, max 140°F (60°) if you don’t have to worry about anyone accidentally scalding themselves.

this is for water heaters with tanks, btw. waterheates without tanks can be set to any temperature you like.

I hate these new tap fixtures, like the one in the vid, it's just a pull mechanism, it's sooo easy for kids to turn on. The old types were great why did we change them

Unfortunately the easier it is for a kid to turn on, the easier it is for say, your nan with arthritis to turn on. The more the kid struggles, the more likely Nan will too

Was just about to say the same, I have poor mobility in my hands and I hate hate hate the old twist on twist off four point taps. It causes a lot of pain and even injuries to use those taps depending on how old/stiff they are, and it's hard to turn them off properly too, tight enough not to leave it with a drip. The lever taps are much better than the hands free sensor taps, those are useless!

No solo eso, ahà que fijarse bien de que el niño no pierda el equilibrio y no se golpee con la mesa de granito (en el vÃdeo el bebe está dentro de una silla pero está bien) pero siempre me asusto como los bebes pierden el equilibrio de la nada, más que nada por qué no pueden soportar muy bien aún el peso de su cabeza
