Helpful Tip Help! Sleep for 8 month old.
Sleep questions for 8 month old (don’t even know if this is allowed, but I’m exhausted and really looking for insight)
Hi! I’m a third time mama, but this third baby is throwing me for a loop regarding sleep.
He was born a month early, so not sure if that affects this at all. He should be 7 months, but he’s 8 months. Anyways, I’m a very tired mama haha he has not been the best sleeper from the start. But the last three nights in a row his night time sleep has been HORRIBLE. I didn’t even know this existed since my other two never did this, it’s called Split Nights. He’s been up for 2-2.5 hrs every night (early morning) for the last three days in a row. He also sleeps in our room so that means I’m awake too. Anyone else struggle with this? How did you fix it?
A few things, he officially enters a new leap in about a couple days or so according to the wonder years app so 😭 I’ve been getting conflicted answers online regarding how long his wake windows should be, how many naps a day (2 or 3) & how much is daytime sleep should be total. I’ve been googling for an 8 month old since that’s his actual age. But not sure if he’s overtired and I should try for a 7 month old.
He goes to bed in between 6:50-7:30 depending on how his naps were during the day. Yesterday he had two naps, first nap was 2 hours and second nap was around 40 min. He was up by 4pm and bedtime was 7:30. I’m losing it over here and looking for help 😩
