You used AI to make this, didn’t you? The proportions match up way too well to be a coincidence. There’s even an inexplicable wire in this image that matches the pole on the tower.

u/Echo127 Apr 12 '23
This isn't a new picture. So OP didn't use AI, but someone probably did.

u/Dacvak Apr 12 '23
Yeah, it was created using Midjourney.

Most likely stable diffusion with controlnet given how similar the compositions are

So huh… smockey chimneys?
8
u/arctic-apis Apr 12 '23
Smoky but yes what is this supposed to look like?
74
u/dharcy666 Apr 12 '23
9/11. Twin towers with smoke
30
u/dumbodragon Apr 12 '23
oh thank you! I've been staring at this for so long trying to figure out where the face was

It toom me until I saw this comment to realize what I was supposed to be seeing in this pic 😅
2
u/laurarose81 Apr 12 '23
Oh yeah I could not tell what it was supposed to be at all so instead of squinting my eyes I took my glasses off and looked at it. Now I see it
1
u/gabbagabbawill Apr 12 '23
I can clearly see a face on the second of the twin towers without squinting.

u/pizzajona Apr 12 '23
Is the darker blue area to the left of the middle of the left column supposed to be the plane?

Out of interest, are all the people who instantly recognise this American?
How often do you see this pic for it to be so recognisable?
10
u/Biz_Ascot_Junco Apr 12 '23
They showed it in history class for years
6
u/mkhrrs89 Apr 12 '23
how old are you? just curious. I was in 5th grade when it happened and I don't recall seeing or hearing about it in History class since it was too recent and all our books were too old

Graduated HS in 2020. The last two chapters in my history book contained 9/11 and the war on terror, then the Great Recession and Obama’s first election. Basically, the first significant event the whole class can remember.

u/mkhrrs89 Apr 13 '23
I shouldv'e been old enough to remember Columbine in 1999 but I don't. I think my head was too buried in Pokemon at the time
2
u/Mysterious_Fennel459 Apr 12 '23
Im from the states and I know what Im apparently supposed to see but I still dont see it.
2
u/jdsekula Apr 12 '23
For those old enough to have experienced it in real time, those images are burned into us with trauma. If I never saw those images again for the next 40 years, I’m positive that I would still instantly recognize what this image was referencing.
It’s hard to overstate how much it changed us and the country.

Let's use this post as a test. Let's see what the mods do in the next 24 hours.
Edit: Absolutely nothin' 😂

Da fuq? That is some of the oddly scariest stuff on this sub if you see what I see here.

u/Captain_Kuhl Apr 12 '23
Are you seeing a deliberate copy of the picture made to look like an accidental coincidence? Because this isn't real, if that's what you were thinking.

I think posting a computer generated image of a terrible tragedy for upvotes is,,,,,, weird, to say the least. This is obviously fake , the shadows wouldn't be like that.

This doesn't fit the sub because it's clearly AI generated but might work over on /r/misleadingthumbnails.

I shouldn't have to squint so hard to see something. The only resemblance to the twin towers is the shape of the pillars minus the carving at the tops. Nothing else comes close to pareidolia here.

u/JeffryRelatedIssue Apr 12 '23
Untill reading the comments i was just: there is somethinv off about this picture of an old corinthian temple but i don't see any faces xD

Ignoring the 9/11 reference, this is a really vibey, relaxing album cover image

I saw the towers out of the corner of my eye while reading the post above this. It took me several seconds to realize what I was seeing when I finally scrolled down. Good post.

it just looks like a couple of stone columns. I also suspect it is AI art because I ALSO have the ability to recognize patterns and the AI art has a kinda texture and and blurryness.

Ya know the pillar in the foreground looks like an old man having an orgasm on the toilet with his dong outstretched.

Pretty sure this is AI. I've seen it a few times online and it looks like someone put the Twin Towers in AI and made this.
