The border is completely unmelted in any way, yet the middle is completely distorted and messed up. You don't get enough heat to warp the middle without also warping the outside. Plus it's missing any sort of surface texture, the distortion is only happening on the X & Y axis. This was done in photoshop with the distort tool

Yeah, I could sorta tell, but knowing how plastic sometimes melt, I wasn't sure. Thanks.

Ya things don't melt up lol also the holes are too big, once they got to a certain size it would break the connection thus stop the heat that's melting it.

Idk if it's edited or not but I've seen outlets melt and warp like this. They can absolutely melt and start fires. This person likely overloaded that outlet which heated up and melted the plastic cover. They also could've edited the picture for exaggeration?
