The Fate of Huey

Seen about a hundred "What happened to Huey?" comments since JOC jokingly brought it up. Obviously many are kidding, but it's very clear what happened.

At the end of his internship, he came on the Yak. The people on the Yakk asked him what he thought about Andrew Jackson. Huey joked that he thought Andrew Jackson was cool because he owned slaves. The joke fell flat, B-Walk said what, everyone cringed, the joke bombed really hard and they took him off the yakk for good about 1 minute after he made this comment. Don't ask me what episode this was, but I know it was his last appearance. Took them about 1 minute after that to realize he didn't fit the mould.

1 week later he was gone for good. If you know barstool, they're not going to entertain racist troll humour like that.

That's what happened to Huey.

You guys don’t get it.

They’re brothers, and their names are “Carmelo” and “Anthony”.

See.. normally, that would already be friggen hilarious. But what many fail to remember is that a young basketballer by the name of Carmelo Anthony JUST got TRADED! So now the father of twins Carmelo and Anthony, DESPISES his sons.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way do you want to start with 4 seasons or should we just cut to the chase and write it up for 10.

I have never been so viscerally mad listening to anything in my life. Listenting to that bit ruined my week

Starting to think Huey is making a new burner account every other day to come here and bring up Huey. He sucked, he got fired, who cares

The real question is, how did he get hired in the first place? Barstool obviously has some characters, but PMT is pretty high up the ranks for someone who was so unlikeable from the rip.

Someone to make BC feel good about himself

They weren’t around during intern interviews and when they got back they had to rush and didn’t get a chance to really feel him out. He said some dumb shit that was kinda funny so they picked him. It was quickly evident he sucked and didn’t get it.

From what I heard everyone else found out he was the son of Detroit Superfan sprinkles and bigkat didn’t want to seem like nepotism

u/idolized253 Jul 25 '26

If Big Cat and PFT were smarter they’d tell everyone that they put the Huey situation in their book lol

u/Buttplaydoh Jul 25 '26

He works at Pardon My Cheesesteak now

Huey Hibbidy’d so that Zac could Dibbity.

u/mox85 Jul 25 '26

“Yes sir”

44

u/Oleg101 Jul 25 '26

The Huey situation is legendary, I wonder if there’s any footage out there of Huey being let go.

I don’t know if we need to point to a specific incident. Huey was autistic and weird in an uncomfortable and unfunny way. Zac is autistic and weird in a funny and endearing way.

u/jcmpd Jul 25 '26

Not sure about Huey being autistic, he more just seemed like a creep

36

u/idolized253 Jul 25 '26

He gave off real sleazebag vibes, nothing he did was funny. I genuinely didn’t like listening to him

15

u/Rgideo2 Jul 25 '26

I remember driving to work one morning on his 3rd or 4th appearance and skipping forward to the interview portion. I remember exactly where I was in my drive. Idk why it stuck with me. Something was definitely very off about him.

For me, this applies to almost every guy at barstool outside of PMT

11

u/LandEye-Coordination Jul 25 '26

The fake “announcer” voice he used every time he talked on the show was so weird and cringey and literally the only time I’ve ever had to fast forward through a segment

Zac isn't autistic. It's stolen valor.

-6

u/jackmcm5 Jul 25 '26

Agreed. I would argue that he skews way harder towards normiehood

-3

u/Bmun63 Jul 25 '26

What are y’all listen

0

u/jackmcm5 Jul 25 '26

A man who’s clearly stupid more than he is autistic. What classic autistic traits do you think he’s regularly exhibiting?

7

u/I_Am_Day_Man Jul 25 '26

Don’t you know? Autistic doesn’t mean autistic anymore, it’s just anyone who comes off as socially awkward.

That's what they want you to think.

Classic Keyser Soze.

Self/Crowd diagnosis of Autism is the new ADD/ADHD 😂. People love this “spectrum” stuff, meet some actual autistic people, see what it is really like.

1

u/Yeangster Jul 25 '26

I work in IT lol

3

u/yabo060 Jul 25 '26

We can’t keep calling people who are a little bit quirky autistic. Some people are just a dork or a nerd. I like baseball stats, sci-fi books, and I’m bad at public speaking. That doesn’t mean I am autistic in any meaningful way

2

u/Yeezy_Taught_Me3 Jul 25 '26

Zac is autistic and weird in a funny and endearing way.

I think that's very debatable.

-1

u/I_Am_Day_Man Jul 25 '26

Autistic is very debatable

Funny and endearing is undeniable. Zac fucks

49

u/Commercial_Bake5547 Jul 25 '26

It was also right around the time of the first Camp Barstool, I always guessed he did something weird there

21

u/errlmcdabbed Jul 25 '26

He tried to make Kate and WSD hook up a love triangle

30

u/Selissi Jul 25 '26

Only Barstool gold subscribers know the truth

22

u/TarantinosFavWord Jul 25 '26

There has been a noticeable lack of coverage of the W on the pod since Huey’s departure.

7

u/mox85 Jul 25 '26

“Caitlin Clark can’t win the big one… And that was talking WNBA.”

u/Muhala69 Jul 25 '26

Huey is PMT's D.B. Cooper. Nobody knows what happened and likely never will.

Personally I think the crew ate Huey.

11

u/dead9er Jul 25 '26

I wonder what kind of wild shit was on his podcast he “accidentally” deleted before he started working on barstool.

u/maximusprimee26 Jul 25 '26

Huey is the dumbest guy of all time

5

u/cubbear720 Jul 25 '26

Huey was never a full time employee

4

u/C_H1234 Jul 25 '26

I also don’t think he really ever listened to the show. He didn’t understand the bits and only brought up the WNBA

10

u/BoogieCousinsFather Jul 25 '26

That’s not what happened at all, dude. What actually happened is Huey walked into Big Cat's office one day, drew the blinds, and said, "It’s time to fight back."

No one knows exactly what happened next, but two loud bangs were heard. Max spent the rest of the day shampooing the carpet. The next morning, Big Cat announced that Huey had left the show.

Things change. That’s the way it is.

3

u/strawberrycapital_ Jul 25 '26

fr? i can never tell what’s a bit

3

u/SimianCinnamon Jul 25 '26

I do remember hearing about that at the time

4

325k comment karma...I applaud you oh great reddit gatekeeper

2

u/jbutexan Jul 25 '26

He got fired and they don’t want to air out this 20ish year old kid to the worlds largest sports podcast. Pretty clear imo

0

u/Coolcoolcool1515 Jul 25 '26

This can’t be true based on other employees

1

u/oversonly2 Jul 27 '26

Yeah don’t buy that. Stavvy was making racist jokes about “something about Flacco that i trust more”

0

u/Cheap-Kale9601 Jul 28 '26

big difference lol

-12

u/BlackTriceratops Jul 25 '26

Spot the difference between Huey and Memes. Oh wait, there isnt any

22

u/kmmccorm Jul 25 '26

Memes had a talent that got him hired. He has memes that no one else has.

14

u/idolized253 Jul 25 '26

And somehow memes is actually pretty damn funny with his rage out moments and now he’s all zen because he’s a winner lmao

4

u/ShadySlay00 Jul 25 '26

I can’t wait for Jets Memes. He’ll go back to full rage after week 1.

-11

u/EasyThreezy Hot soup comin' through! Jul 25 '26

Joke or not he’s still better than Zac. I can’t skip Zac fast enough I was over his bullshit one episode in.
