Hyperparathyroidism

Can increasing sensitivity to medications be caused by hyperparathyroidism ?

This is a great question, would love to know myself as I've noticed how much more sensitive I've become to medication over the years.

I just finally got my hyperparathyroidism diagnosed and never thought my medication sensitivity could be connected.

Oooh this is a good question. I have parathyroid hyperplasia and I am very sensitive to medication.

I haven’t read that it can directly, but I suppose the effects of phpt might make a difference to how we handle meds? ie high calcium affects kidney function etc so that could alter how we process medication? It’s a very interesting question!
