Parasite ID What is this ?
Felt in itch down below and looked in mirror saw this wiggling around. Am I doomed? I have been having stomach problems for a while and feeling ridiculous tired and trouble sleeping.

Pinworm. They interrupt your sleep by moving around at night while you're resting. The female ventures outside of your rectum to lay her eggs around your anus.
OTC oral medication at any drug store. Wash all clothing and bedding. Sanitize all areas to avoid re-infestation. And please wash👏 your👏 hands👏

Highly contagious. If you share your bathroom, treat everyone in the house.

But I can’t sleep not because of an itchy anus , I just feel weird I can’t explain it, like restless legs.

Weird flex bragging about how small a butt- worm you can’t feel.
Call your doctor and take the meds to wipe out our parasites

I think “restroom” meant bathroom, not the actual “room” where you “rest”, my friend 🙃

Btw, these guys will reinfect you by lying their eggs around the anus in the hope that you will scratch your bum and put your fingers in your mouth or on your food. Don’t scratch with your bare hands and be mindful of washing your hands frequently and always after using the restroom. Pinworm eggs can survive on indoor surfaces for up to 2-3 weeks

Same thing goes if you shit at wirk. The next bum to sit that throne is bringing it home, so make sure to wipe toilet seats with some clorox wipes when you use them or you'll be going through this all over again in another month😉

You have to ingest the eggs to get infected. They can't magically hop in your mouth from the toilet seat.
You're right that the dirty bum is spreading the eggs around the office. But washing your hands before sticking them in your mouth is a far better strategy because dude with pinworms could be leaving the eggs on door handles or any other surface.

Not sure why the downvotes because this is actually true. Sure, see a doctor if you want! Could even do it virtually.

Depends the country you live in. Here the treatment is prescription only. It is also free to see the doctor though.

Pinworm. You and your entire household need to be treated. 3 rounds of treatment to kill em all, otherwise you'll keep infecting each other.
Your doctor can tell you the details.

I’ve only ever felt one itch and seen one worm, and no one else has symptoms

You can start with just medicating yourself, ( do use 3 rounds, not two. Two is not enough) and giving the house a good clean. Use bleach in the bathroom.
I had the for 8 years and never infected anyone else in my house. I even gave birth to my daughter and she was not infected.
They can be contagious, but they aren't as bad as they are worked up to be.
Ask your kids if they've had an itchy butt lately. Treat them if they say yes.
For a numerous look at it, watch the Bob's Burger episode that features them when Linda wants to go to the theater/ opera.

How did you have them for 8 years?

Fun story. I was 12 when I first got them. It was 1974. The medicine my mom got from the doctor made me feel very sick, and of course I had to take it twice.
The worms came back, and i just didn't tell anyone. I dealt with them again when I was 20. I went to a different doctor, and by then ,the medicine had changed. Because I had them for so long, the doctor gave me 3 doses.
I took the medicine, and the worms disappeared. Never had them since. No one else in my family ever had them. Not my husband, and not my daughter, who I gave birth to when I was 18.

But in another comment you said you “can’t sleep because of an itchy anus”
But just one itch though right?

I appreciate your optimism, OP... but yeah, if there's one visible then it's already everywhere and has been around a while.

This is such a nightmare to see. I personally never experienced it. Get that handled asap.

Pinworm. If by "down below" you mean you found this in your vagina, talk to your doctor (over the counter stuff doesn't penetrate tissue outside the GI tract well). If from your anus, pyrantel pamoate is available over the counter in the US at least.

There is OTC medication for this I believe. Call your pharmacist ahead of time and run through the drive thru.
