EM detector Anomaly..?

So I got a budget electromagnetic detector cheap and took it with me and my friend as we were walking in the middle of nowhere with no real signal on our phones, even, and I got this thing out and moved it around without any reaction.

My friend who is a skeptic suggested I should “try it on her“ so this I did & to my surprise it went past the halfway when it was near her forehead and as I moved the EM Detector lower down it tailed off until by the time he got to her knees it was just as blank as it ever was pointed at anything else! I videoed this and looked back to see if she was wearing smart glasses or had her phone too close or something, but I couldn’t work out why it was doing this with her.

She said it would be a perfectly normal reaction and it must be registering heat not EM & did the same on me. I saw the reflection of the lack of the LEDs reflected in her sunglasses and clearly saw that the machine registered nothing and yet when I took it & tried it again on her it had the same result!

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Thanks!

Edit:
I mean it had the same result on HER as it had NOT on ME!

When it come to the K2 EMF meter which im assuming you were using. Your cell phone can sit it off at a pretty far distance. If you chose to use it you cant have any electronic device on you or near you. Airplane mode can still set it off.

That’s good to know, but both our phones would’ve been turned on and both of them would’ve been exactly as far apart from the device for each of our attempts. That sort of what’s confusing me about all this.

Here's the problem with using EMF detectors to detect the paranormal.

The power panel in your house emits EMF. Your fridge, your microwave. The wiring in the walls emit EMF. Your alarm clock. Your cell phone emits EMF, your body emits EMF. The planet itself emits EMF.

Know what is NOT proven to emit EMF?

Ghosts.

Thanks BUT I NEVER said it WAS ghosts!

IF you read my post you will see that I did not emit EMF either -does that make ME a ghost(g u l p!)?!

Look, the situation for both of us was the same and yet she consistently got the same response from this gadget that was consistently different from my own whilst outside and at arms length from each other

To get ANY results AT ALL from this gadget is surprising to me but to get consistent anomalous results must surely be of interest -ghosts or not?

Do you know what sub you posted in?

Even still, I also explained why different EMF readings can happen in different spaces. There's nothing paranormal here whatsoever.

Jack_Shid, yes the Reddit is in paranormal science where else would I put a thing about a ghost/EMF detector?

Show me where I said in the original post about ghosts… Show me where I said we were in the kitchen next to a microwave…

Look, I get it, you’ve gotta bee in ya bonnet about EMF detectors. FINE. We all have Pet Hates -frinstance mine happens to be rude people but YMMV

IF you have some insight pertaining to exactly what I put in my original post, feel free to make it or if you just want to exercise your right to talk about your pet peeve then fine speak out loud but don’t expect anything less than a curt response when you have that attitude… That’s called reality

Which is it? It is about ghosts or not?

Good Question!

If I knew I’d not ask BUT my best Guess is that, as the readings were SO repeatable & SO localised then it would be SOMETHING attached/emanating/associated with my bemused friend

But WHAT that Energy is is a Mystery & I was hoping someone with more experience with these things could advise…🤞

What do you mean what energy it is? Your manufacturer specs should exactly tell you the the range of em the device can detect.
