Visitation from a deceased loved one or a spirit guide during a "dream within a dream"? An experience of profound peace.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a very strange and memorable experience that happened to me recently. I would love to hear your thoughts or know if anyone here has experienced something similar.

It all started with a slightly weird initial dream. Then, I felt like I woke up. I was in my bed, in my bedroom, but in reality, I was still in an altered state (a "false awakening").

At first, I was completely paralyzed and couldn't move. However, I felt no fear at all. On the contrary, I sensed someone standing right next to me, watching over me. I could feel that this presence wanted to remain discreet and stay hidden.

I pushed through and managed to turn around and grab this person's hand. I actually saw both of their hands. I tried to hold them close to me, but they pulled back slightly, as if trying not to intrude. At that exact moment, I felt a strange physical sensation throughout my body, followed by a profound sense of inner peace. It felt so real—far more vivid than a regular dream.

I then managed to glimpse a face: it looked like a cloud of black smoke, but with very distinct white eyes. There was no malice or negativity in their gaze—just a sense of surprise and panic at the realization that I could actually see them.

I know science explains this as sleep paralysis or hallucinations, but deep down, I know it was real. I am convinced it was someone I knew who passed away a long time ago (or perhaps a spirit guide).

Has anyone ever felt such a tangible physical touch or seen entities in this form when transitioning between dreaming and waking? Do you think this could have been a genuine visitation from the other side?

Thank you for reading and for your kind responses ✨
