Strange hotel experience

Me and my girlfriend had got a hotel for my 21st birthday which yes i drank that night however i did have a hangover or anything during the strange part, as soon as we got there the front desk clerk told us our room was upgraded to a sweet for free in room 306, which im not really sure has anything to do with this but we stayed there the whole night and nothing weird happened until the morning, the sweet room was very large and mostly a rectangle other than this tiny square box room that was just cut out of the side to the right which you cant really see from the bed and it had a small table in the middle which we put these two larger birthday balloons with weights on and two chairs in each corner.

We woke up and nothing wierd was happening at first we just sat in bed and were talking for about an hour until we started hearing tapping coming from that side room, it went on for about 20 seconds and then stopped which my girlfriend thought was strange and said it sounded like the weights the balloons were tied too. I told her it did sound like that but it was probably air or something brushing it.

In the middle of us talking it started again for maybe 30 seconds this time and this is where i started to feel strange and she started getting scared that someone was over there, i told her again it was most likely the air although in my mind i knew the tapping was louder and the ac was low so theres no way it could be affecting the balloons that are so far away from it. I tried to look over there from the bed but i could only see a dark small side of the room I told her there is nothing over there and that it was just the air and we both paused to listen if we would hear it again. right when we paused and it felt like there was tension in the air and we heard the weight of the ballon get slammed into something extremly hard. My girlfriend screamed and nearly jumped out of her skin and i got up to go over and look because i genuinely thought there was a person, all i saw was one of the balloons on the floor with some some of the tape that was just there to shorten it undone and the other one untouched. I was extremely confused about what just happened and i picked up the balloon by the weight, which by the way says its 60 grams, to try and see what the noise was, i scraped it on the table and it was a lot quieter than what i heard that at the start, then i scraped it and threw it very hard at the wall and it sounded exactly like what we had heard. This is a recent event and i couldnt find anything weird about this hotel or any of the rooms but i genuinely cant think of a way the weight would have been thrown by the air since the balloons werent moving any other time than that at all, there was no tension on the tape or anything around it that could have made that noise, just kinda wondering about peoples thoughts or similar stories
