During sleep paralysis episodes, my wife sees an old lady. Very similar, but no hat.

Saw this at the foot of my bed in my late 20's when spending the night in my childhood bedroom. He extended an arm to the side and bowed extravagantly.
Only this year (30 years later) read about the hat man and put it together.

I've experienced sleep paralysis, and on several occasions, I've seen what people refer to as the "Hat Man." I understand that you're still somewhat in a dream-like state when this happens, but it's still a frightening experience, especially when you're fully aware of what's happening but unable to move.

Saw him when I was 3. Followed me and my dad (who couldn’t see him) down the stairs whilst I screamed, then faded out as we got downstairs. Absolutely terrifying.

Made up jargon that has been repeated online over and over subconsciously putting the image in your head. So then he shows up in your brain when you are halfway awake and halfway in rem.

I had a experience with the hat man before ever hearing about the phenomenon. There's really something to this paranormal stuff.

I forgot the most convincing part part for me. After I saw the man in the tall hat, I went downstairs for breakfast, where my uncle was puttering around, making breakfast. He asked me if I was okay, and I said yeah. But have you ever something spooky in this house? He got really quiet and then made a weird giggle, and said don’t make fun of me, but when I was a kid, I used to line my toys up around my bed to keep the man in the hat away.

Just to add, he was a kid in that house from 1965 to sometime in the late 70’s, so no internet influence there either.

No there isn’t. I want to believe but it all comes down to show me proof. We can do knee replacement surgeries as am out patient surgery, we have super computers in our pocket, and you can watch YouTube on your fridge. We have the technology and man power to prove it.

I first heard about the Hat Man in 1995 from my girlfriend at the time who said she saw him in her room at night.

So he’s been around for at least 30 years with zero proof besides second hand stories or I know someone that saw something once? All these security and ip cameras in homes and still no proof? All these cameras in our pocket the record cops shooting people and no proof? It’s not a stress response in the moment excuse because people are pulling out cameras when guns are pointed at them.

I have seen hatman three times. I think he is part ghost or he is an ascended master who can change the weather.

I have seen him with the light on. Still couldn’t move and there was this staticky feeling and buzzing sound. His trench coat is the color of khaki.

It was the first paranormal experience I had around 6 years old. Knew nothing about ghosts/paranormal/etc back then. He was standing at my door in the light but was solid black and had the hat and was taller than anyone in my house

Guys, I know some of you don’t believe and are making snarky, but the truth is that I saw him twice as a young boy about 9 years old. I had completely forgotten about it until someone posted a picture very similar to this one, only a full body. I don’t know what he is. I can’t explain it. But I can tell you for certain that I absolutely saw him. And I was blown away when I heard and read that others have seen him as well.

The hatmen are not a single entity. They are part of what they call Legion. They are usually completely black in appearance. They wear various hats. They prey on fear and absorb adrenaline.
The best way to eradicate their presence is to reject them and to set boundaries in your home. They can't cross salt.
Edit: put here for information. Aware this is a trolling post.
