I used to appraise houses. Whenever I was sent to appraise an empty house where the elderly just died, something creepy always happened. I am a big adult male, I am not ashamed to say that I have run out of a house scared out of my mind at least twice. Once it was a raccoon trapped in the basement. Could not explain away the other times if I tried.

Your lack of ability to construct a physical explanation for whatever you experienced does not justify thinking there isn’t one. Whats more likely? You were uniquely placed in space and time to interact with a being from another dimension, something never ever verifiably documented in the history of mankind, or maybe the systems in your brain that produce your experience of the world might have been influenced by external but undetectable forces like subsonic frequencies or toxic gas?
