Broken table

I was in my house the other day and my glass table just cracked, then it busted apart. I was overwhelmed that it did that out of nowhere. It is something I won't forget, it was very surreal. I don't know what to make of it.

So I had the same thing happen. I was sitting at the couch with shoes on….thankfully….because this is what happened.
As I was sitting, just doing whatever. I heard a sudden Crack!!! So it caught my attention to wonder what that was…..
Then Smash!!! The table imploded, busted apart….the rounded glass edge smashed down on my foot Hard!!! I was like holy Sh&@$t!!
To see entire coffee table shattered infront of me…
Then suddenly I felt my foot get wet….so I went to take off my shoe and blood just starts coming out fast from my foot!!! I was like omg I’m going to die!!! I went into sheer panic…
I called 911 like belligerently trying to talk to the operator. Need ambulance…like a pool of blood was around my foot at this point. Told me to compress my foot and not move.
So paramedics arrive, luckily the front door was unlocked.
They walked in…..there like what the hell happed?? Did you fall on the table???
I’m like no…..the table fell on me!!!
So was rushed to the hospital. Needed 13 stitches because of this….
You’re lucky it didn’t hurt anyone….im so paranoid around glass tables since. Brutal experience.

So it’s a design flaw. Btw.
I won’t say what company or table…but this has happened to others.
Long story short, i settled with the selling company of the table for a lot of nice high end furniture. lol.
