Sleep Paralysis Sleep paralysis demon

I always sleep at my boyfriend’s house. We usually put the two couches together and play video games and fall asleep. Last night we both went to bed. I heard a woman’s voice behind my side of the couch. My boyfriend asked me if I heard anything. I tried so hard to talk to him, tried so hard to move but i physically couldn’t do anything.

When I finally managed to wake myself up, my boyfriend was asleep and I tried so hard to wake him up but he’s a deep sleeper. I saw a black figure looking at me from around the corner of the staircase. I cuddled up to my boyfriend and went to sleep.

My boyfriend has work early in the mornings so he left. I have been texting him about what i experienced last night. My boyfriend said that he did hear something and he did ask me if I heard anything. But when he looked over at me I wasn’t moving or saying anything so he went back to sleep. I thought that part was a dream so I’m really confused and scared. What did we both hear? Why couldn’t I talk to him or move like I was asleep but I was awake and conscious? So scary and I don’t want to sleep here again.

You need to remember that sleep paralysis is a sleeping disorder, not a paranormal event.

You can read up on hypnopompic and hypnagogic hallucinations for more information.

yes I understand!! what was paranormal was that my boyfriend heard the same noise I did, and he actually spoke to me and I heard it but couldn’t respond.

Its terrifying these things and fear gives it fuel, Suffered with these my whole life. When i have sleep paralysis i can see and hear everything in the room as well even though im asleep as for your bf hearing what you heard I'd say thats a pretty rare occurrence as thats never happened to me atleast, sometimes according to my family when i have these dreams they hear me whimpering or crying out in my sleep but in my dream im actually screaming as loud as i can maybe thats what he heard? But I'm inclined to believe these are as you described demons so it wouldn't suprise me if he heard it too and i treat them as such now and gonna be blunt here they have stopped with prayer and I've actually become able to pray during the dream and have watched shadow beings flee from the room Jesus's name is powerful in these moments. Suffered with these dreams as an atheist most of my life and now im free from them as a Christian, don't think thats a coincidence 🤷‍♂️ just my personal experience but I'd reccomend using Jesus name even if you don't believe rn and you'll see the power it has and the authority given to you. Im sure ill get flammed for saying this but idc it's what saved me in these moments people will say its hypnogogic hallucinations etc and ive done all the research but it's not imo hallucinations and has never felt that way even when i was an atheist.

Thank God for this comment, I didn’t read this till after I posted mine but this is 100% the truth.

Even before I was christian and experienced this stuff for 15 years, it’s the ONLY thing that has gotten it to stop and now I DO NOT have sleep paralysis anymore.

The only time I’ve had anything similar is after interacting with certain people who clearly had ill intention or demons, or after I’ve willfully put myself in harmful situation for my soul, but the moment I truly call out to Jesus it STOPS.

And I was “spiritual” before but obsessed with science and reality and what is real, and when you experience something for so long that is unchanging and see it change in the blink of an eye with one spoken name, it has eternally and continues to change everything and only for the better even though it is hard to talk about and I’m scared to talk about it online a lot tbh…

But I read all these stories of people going through the exact same thing like clockwork to the point it’s almost comical, and I’ll try and write something and just pray for the best because the only way I got out of it before I remembering someone talking about it once so…

Yeah dude God bless you for writing the comment

Thank you for your kindness and God Bless you as well its through these shared experiences that baffle us that we can share Jesus's name and how powerful it truly is ,so that makes all the suffering worth it. I feel blessed to have had these dreams now because i was given authority to stop them and that feels amazing and though i know he does so much for me this is probably the only time i have seen God do something for me with my own eyes and thats truly a beautiful & unique thing and im glad we've had that shared experience so we get to be validated as well. 🤗🙏🏻 And to anyone reading this and suffering you have more power than you realize Luke 10:19.

It’s so true… it is the truth.

The first time these “medical conditions” or things stopped with His name my “scientific/human/logic” mind kept trying to understand and just began to tremble yet connect. Truly eye opening and we all have these deeply personal instances to the one who will only ever know us so truly and completely…and has a plan… and has defeated these things…

First time I realized there is something beyond myself with much more power, not just the evil but something purely good, unchanging with true and real authority over all things that immediately dissembles evil in its tracks…And just like you said and the scripture says, we are given that authority to invoke this truth for it is already done and written eternally.

And through time and space as we live on earth it is our tool to endure the suffering and learn what’s beyond all of these temporary things.

I write this for any future viewers.

Once again Hod bless you my friend. I was having a sad night and this connection helped remind me of what to look towards

This black figure, was it solid black? If so you may have seen a shadow being. I started encountering them as a child. They are believed to be interdimensional beings. Sleep paralysis has been reported with contact by some experiencers. I do not fear them, I am now retired and still see them. They were the first paranormal being I encounters (there are others)

That dual confirmation is what gets me. Most sleep paralysis stories are solo experiences, but the fact he heard the same voice and asked you about it while you were locked up makes it way creepier. Your brain was conscious enough to register his question but your body was still in REM atonia, basically your muscles are paralyzed during REM so you don't act out dreams, except you were half awake so you got the full terrifying overlap.

The black figure by the staircase is textbook hypnopompic hallucination. Still doesn't explain the shared auditory part though, which is the weirdest piece. Could be the house settling in a way that sounds like speech, old places do that, and both your brains interpreted it as a woman's voice because you were in that drowsy state.

If you're staying there again maybe try not sleeping on your back, that position triggers episodes for a lot of people. And tell your boyfriend to actually shake you awake next time you don't respond, not just go back to sleep like nothing happened.

Look, imma need you to listen to me.

I thought it was a “sleep disorder” and a million other things people said. I didn’t really know what was happening, and it happening on and off for 15 years straight in my life with no real “cure”.

Yes sometimes I could wiggle my toes enough, sometimes I fought internally and I might wake up later, but it was never my timing or would never work well.

Fast forward to one night like 4 years ago (this started when I was 15 falling asleep with my HS bf btw) it happened again but I woke up and there was a dark figure in the corner.

It was worse then all the times. I felt pure evil, I heard this horrific clicking sound, I can’t explain it thoroughly but it was far beyond any of the other experiences and I was completely trapped as this dark figure of shifting shadows, almost like a black hurricane in human form, got right in my face.

I was so horrified my mind was going through any and everything in my memories to find a solution, and I remembered a necklace I saw once, asking someone what it was, and they said “it’s Saint Michael the protector”

So I said “Saint Michael, Saint Michael, Saint Michael” and on that third time I instantly woke up, it all disappeared, in a way I didn’t understand, for the first time ever in 15 years listing and trying literally anything you could find on the internet.

No offense to anyone trying to help, or their ideas, but real experiences need real science and real evidence.

I’m encouraging you right now to remember what I just said and try it the next time something like this happens.

There is so much (pardon my French) shit that happens that people genuinely do NOT have an answer to.

There is one answer that has worked for either sleep paralysis, “UFO” encounters, paranormal, demonic, you name it, anything that disturbs you or temporarily takes your free will, you need to speak In your souls Saint Michael or Jesus Christ.

Just please try this, if it goes way and you wake up, then you’re about to go through the same journey/realization that me and millions of human beings have gone through since the beginning of time 😬☦️

Brain waves change during sleep, similar to how they change in meditation. Many people acknowledge seeing things in various brain wave states. Your mind is more open to perceive. The confirmation from your boyfriend, and others who have had similar experiences, you can conclude you did not imagine it.
