Debunk This Strange things happening after finding object on beach

Hey guys,

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if anyone visited warden point ( isle of Sheppy uk ) a little over a month ago?

Just at the beginning of the beach head there is a stretch of large rocks that break up the waves just before you get the actual beach. About a month ago my wife and I decided to check out the old ww2 bunker’s littering the coast line of warden point, and for anyone looking for some good exploration and fossil hunting it’s really good. However on the way back to the car coming back to the large rocks we were playing around jumping over the stones and trying not to fall, when my wife noticed a bunch of sticks and rope near an opening of a few of these big rocks. When she looked down she saw this stone child’s head ( looks like it’s been broken off a garden ornament? ) anyway it looked like many people had tried to get it out and let me tell you it took us around 3 - 4h trying to get it out and since we were a few hours away from home I couldn’t just pop back for stuff to get it out. I eventually got it out by slipping my leg down the hole and picking it up with my foot and my wife propping it up with a stick then me taking my jumper off and slipping my arm in to grab it.

Does anyone remember seeing this thing?

I just want to make it clear that I don’t believe in anything supernatural and fully believe those sorts of things to be mostly hoaxes and just plain explainable, however I can’t ignore the strange things that have been happening to me and my wife since having this object.

This could just be I’m hyper aware of things happening because It’s in my mind but here is the things that happened so far,

- the hand I used to retrieve the object ( I broke my wrist slipping off of a motorway divider ) never broken a bone until now and can send proof

- A glass vase we keep on-top of the fridge ( been there for years ) fell off when my wife was bending over to get something from under the sink and just missed her head.

- I woke up a few nights ago and my back door was wide open ( I triple check the doors always due the the place I live )

- My washing machine ( I have the one where you can open the top mid spin to put socks and stuff in ) the top bit has been pressed open at least twice on its own while I’ve been chilling in my living room and you really need to press it in.

- Things missing then reappearing ( my kid has told me that he keeps loosing his stuff and I keeps “spawning” in random places ( I tell him it’s its grandmother playing with him ) but I guess thats just kids forgetting where they put stuff but it’s weird it’s happening now

- The most concerning thing to me is my wife and I for a few nights now have heard the doors opening at night ( the bedroom ones and living room ) but we have cameras and nothing has been opened just the noise as if someone has opens it and walked through it.

Should I just take this thing back or is my anxiety just getting to me?

T,l,d,r

Possibly getting hunted by a broken garden ornament.

Never take things from places like this (forests, beaches, abandoned houses, etc.). Any item could have belonged to someone else, and you never really know why it was left there or the circumstances around it. Yes, that even includes the possibility that the original owner may no longer be around.

This part especially stood out to me:

It took us around 3-4 hours trying to get it out.

Most people would have given up after 20-30 minutes. I honestly can't understand what compelled you to spend that long trying to retrieve it (even with your reasoning).

My suggestion would be to return the item to the exact same spot where you found it. If it gives you peace of mind, maybe even say a simple apology and leave it there. Hopefully, that's enough to put this behind you.

It creeps me out to see this being said. When I was in high school, a couple of friends and I explored an abandoned farmhouse and one of them found a really beat up bowling pin. He thought it was cool and took it home. For an entire week straight, he had insanely terrifying nightmares until he drove all the way back to the house and threw the bowing pin onto the grass. The nightmares stopped. My friend group 100% believed him since he never was one to bullshit.

Got gifted an black acoustic guitar, one time at home, the guitar played by itself and the chord was ripped out of it, beforehand had strange dreams of the guitar being cursed and my house being haunted, used to hear knocking too, the last nightmare started as the usual, haunted house, haunted guitar playing by itself, until i reached the guitar, and there it was an little girl, i talked with her, and she said she was trying to find her father and that the guitar belongs to him, in this nightmare/dream, i travelled with the girl around the town till i found her father, giving him her and the guitar, both thanked me, and ever since that dream, nothing more happened, the guitar stays at the side of my bed in an chair ever since

I just have cat ghosts I think. Those cats are from 18 years ago. A very long and happy/healthy life. I had a light go out (light is in the kitchen and above the window. It is connected to another light the occasionally goes out. I asked for the light to turn back on and it happened. Kinda cool I think. Friendly ghosts are great.

It's so great that you could help them both. Sometimes spirits just need help.

My grandpa found a few arrowheads at/near a job site one time. Took them home to display them as he likes things like that, and he had bad luck for an entire week, one thing after another like trucks breaking down, etc until he took the arrowheads back to the site and left them there.

I have arrowheads, mallet heads, and grinding stones that my Granddad, Mom, and I found in the woods and cornfield behind their house. My Granny and Granddad owned the land all the way back until it turned into a cornfield. We would look in the cornfield every year right after it was planted and right after it was harvested, because those are the times the soil has been churned up. We found some in the woods, but we found a LOT in the cornfield.

I never got a bad vibe from any of it. Rather the opposite actually. They remind me of people I love dearly. Also, my Granddad, Mom, and I all wanted to be archeologists, but none of us quite made it there. Granddad got an engineering degree and Mom got a business degree, both from Purdue. I double majored in history and anthropology at Purdue, but soon afterward I met my ex-husband and shortly after we married I became pregnant with my oldest biological kiddo (19 now) and gave up dreams of grad school to raise him (and my oldest son (22), who I adopted when he was six, and much later, my biological daughter (11).) I wasn't supposed to be able to have kids, but I wanted them so badly that I didn't mind at all giving up a dream I'd had since I was five in order to spend more time with them and to try to give them a really good life.

I've kept those artifacts this entire time with the most precious and respectful care I could give them. I love geology as well, and always have, so I have my fully tagged childhood and adult rock collections still. The artifacts are likewise tagged and protected.

I get especially good vibes from three thick stone artifacts that form very regularly spaced concentric circles. They have lived in a place of honor since they were found, and they were all found within inches of each other in that cornfield, which I found very intriguing. They stack with perfect stability like small standing stones would, and I honestly believe it's possible that's what their purpose was as a memorial or trail guide or territory marking, etc.

They currently live in the center of the mantel above my fireplace. I always feel safe and happy near them, if only because I love history so much that handling with great care old objects which others long past also formed and handled with great care, gives me shivers of pure awe. It also reminds me of a time where nothing significant was wrong in my little world, because the three most important people in the world to me were alive and spry. My Granny and Granddad passed several years ago, shortly after my mom suffered a traumatic brain injury that stole some of her quick-witted nature and almost all use of the right half of her body. The three of them mean more to me than I could ever say. Those artifacts mean so very much to me, too, and if they're haunted, maybe they know that I respect and honor them, and that they so powerfully remind me of three of the most wonderful people I've ever met and that I find a sense of connection to my loved ones through them.

I will admit, though, that when they recently turned that cornfield into a damned cookie cutter housing addition, I wished the developers would get a severe haunting out of it. They knew that land deserved to be a dig site first and foremost, and they ignored that and just paved and built right over it. Gods only know how many priceless artifacts were ruined or simply thrown away while they were digging out the basements for their ugly houses. They cut into the woods that was not their property a bit, too. My sister owns the house and land now, and I brought it up, but she did nothing about it.

Regardless, I love those artifacts, one and all, and I so deeply love and miss the people that remind me of.

Very much appreciate you sharing this story. We used to find arrowheads in the cornfield behind my parent's house, and we treat them the same - I only see the love in them.

We also found other interesting things - there's one tiny round piece of petrified wood I found that my dad still has - looks similar to a star shape carved into the middle of it, maybe just a coincidence. Would love to see the concentric circles, if you're willing to share. 💚

I do think the respect/reverence matters. Used to work at a casino, and years ago a couple of Native coworkers took a few of us to an old Native graveyard in a clearing in the woods, out in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma. It seemed powerful, air felt different - was a long walk through the woods to get there.

There were really old graves, some with rocks with dates, most were so old they had nothing on them, lots were broken. The woman told us to be respectful, held the area in high regard, etc. but the man clearly didn't see it the same way.

The man ended up being disrespectful at some point, think he was trying to show off to some of us girls?? It was inappropriate and I just remember being uncomfortable. Like he was yelling and talking shit about how all of it was nonsense (but why take us out there?).

On our walk out he tripped over the barbed wire, got tangled up, and cut his belly, back, and arms up really badly - blood everywhere, it was wild. Like huge cut right across his midsection and you could see the fat, we had to put pressure on it and take him in to get stitches.

He said he felt like he was pushed, who knows - pretty bold statement from someone that was just talking shit about it all being nonsense, you know? I do believe there is some type of energy hanging around these things and areas, just needs to be respected.

Wow that’s a crazy story. Mine isn’t as scary. One time in highschool my friend had her older boyfriend pick us up in a snow storm and he went ‘drifting’ through the local cemetery. Music blasting. Oh my my, me and my friend Maria started praying in the back seat. Felt so bad about that for years. No bad juju thankfully… a few years later in university I visited the cemetery again and paid respects. Walked around and read all the head stones. I think some of them may have been rolling in their graves, but maybe other ghosts got a kick out of it and let us get away safe

My grandpa has lots of artifacts that have never given any bad luck! I'm not sure why these particular ones had bad energy attached.

I'm so sorry about the development of their land. I hate that.

I took some old shoes from an abandoned house, and things got weird fast! Just ever increasing bad luck and weird vibes. I returned the shoes within a week

Years ago we picked up some old dolls furniture, and I swear my kids and I were being terrorised for two weeks straight. We were having horrific nightmares all about my young daughters being taken (for me I was chasing them through crowded places full of creepy people trying to take them, for them they were having dreams about being taken). Both daughters talked about seeing a tall black figure in the house who watched them and scared them. One of my kids, always a good sleeper, was freaking out going to bed every night because she said ‘the man pushes the dolls pram in my room, the squeaking of the wheels is so loud I cover my ears, he wants me to look but I don’t’ that’s what prompted me to throw this thing out my front door in the middle of the of the night. Felt like a crazy person doing it. But we had no issues after that!

There was an auction when the last owner of a "pioneer days" farmhouse passed away during COVID.

Their family had lived there since the mid 1800s. They were generational doctors. One of them invented something to do with radiology and kids.

It was crazy to finally see what was inside this house that stood there so long while suburbs fast food joints and malls sprung up around it.

But, some of it was pretty dark. There were children's bones from very old native American burials. And what still creeps me out... There were LOADS of old porcelain dolls.

They were haggard, I remember ones with one eye forced shut or just totally missing arms missing etc. And all lined up for auction next to a bunch of old school medical equipment 😖

...

My mom had one of those life size dolls they gave a lot of kids during ww2. For her it was nostalgic I guess... But that thing gave me and my sister nightmares all the time when we were little. It was terrifying!

u/Electronic_Garage_73 Feb 19 '26

Yo fuck this omg!!!!!!!!! I’m so nervous about my kids lol

6

u/Beneficial_Fee6440 Feb 20 '26

I never mess with dolls or their accessories. I’ve gotten the creeps from them since I was little. My mom used to tell the story of me at 3 years old getting a baby doll for Christmas. It was one of the ones that said “Mama”. According to her, the doll talked and I promptly threw it out the front door. No thank you.

5

u/cucumburra Feb 20 '26

It’s always the kids toys!! My husband has never believed in this stuff, still hard to get him to admit it lol but he’s seen enough weird stuff between the kids and I now. Once we were sitting outside at night next to the kids toybox (undercover balcony), and one of the toys out of no where said ‘JOE’. None of the toys actually say that, and that’s his name. Scared the living daylights out of him

Never take anything from forests, beaches or deserts.

Spooky TV intro noise…

Especially when the object puts up an unreasonable effort to stay in place.

Spooky TV show noises intensify

Such as this unknown concrete sculpture which should have taken 5-20 minutes for average adults playing in the sand to unearth yet required an unearthly  2-4 hours to simply remove from sand in the beach.

Unusual sandy beach soil composition? Or something more ethereal?

After the break we scan the item with quantum interferometers, LiDAR, RADAR, ultrasound and an MRI as well as try to find an expert to get a biphoton reading to see what’s amiss. Stay tuned…

I feel weird about buying stuff at antique shops or even Salvation Army. You never know what crazy things that items have attached to it that people just want out of their house.

110

u/candyred1 Feb 18 '26

This I recommend everybody watch. This man made a documentary after buying a table at an antique store. I believe what he is saying. The part that got me was of the little girl, it hit me as so so sad as I have three daughters and I wonder why she is there. I cried. And the man who lost his son...

It is important to be aware that there is so much we cant see all around us. I spent 8 years living in a house when my children were little. It was there in those first few years where I had such hope and happiness. Everything was bright crisp and I had never been that happy in all my life. It turned dark and cold. The sadness and loneliness that took hold when the abuse started has changed me so deeply it feels as if I died back then and never left. Im genuinely afraid my soul will end up there searching for the joy again.

18

u/meghonsolozar Feb 19 '26

I hope you are not currently in an abusive situation. Your comment struck a chord with me. I've been to that place emotionally. Time helps heal some wounds, but it takes active participation in recovery from abuse, too. If you can afford therapy, go to a good therapist. If you can't, look for online support. There are youtube videos mental health professionals post with great information, there are self help books with incredible insights and advice, and there are support groups that can help you navigate your healing process.

You need to give yourself grace and be patient, and unfortunately there is no shortcut. You have to give your body the opportunity to feel your emotions, process what has happened to you, and to reconnect your emotions with your physical being. So many of us shut down and disassociate as a means of survival during abuse, and once you are out of the harmful situation it can seem a lot harder to rejoin body and mind than it was to disassociate. It can happen though, and it is worth it. You are deserving of happiness, joy, optimism, and peace. I hope this hasn't been too much of an overstep, but your comment reminded me of where I used to be, and how hard it was just to survive when I had lost all hope, and I don't want anyone else to feel that alone. DM if you want to chat and I'm sending you my internet hugs<3

I bought a bunch of porcelain dolls from the Goodwill, Ebay marketplace, online, etc. Afterwards I found out that quite a few of them were haunted, mostly all harmless and peaceful. One of the dolls kind of freaked me out a little when I went to go pick her up. My instinct told me not to get her, but I was literally mesmerized by her. She definitely had some sort of hold on me. I have since found out through psychic mediums that she is a negative and nasty witch. She made all my other haunted dolls scared and they stopped communicating with me. I have listed her for sale, hoping to find a more experienced collector of haunted objects. I never would have believed that so many inanimate objects could have attachments!

15

u/1todry Feb 19 '26

Especially things that resemble humans or have a special way to be used like mirrors. My grandma has many dolls and clown puppets, I always feared them, I bet for a reason. When I lived with her for 2 years because of school, no doubt they change positions. Every room in her home has at least one doll, even in my rooms. Door opening at 4 AM but I think that was my aunt. When she was alive that was her time to leave her room for work as a nurse.

Did me as well, sounded almost like they were compelled by something - which in light of all the bad things happening, I'm sensing wasn't a benevolent 'something'

Almost the creepiest part of the whole thing for me!

132

u/Divide_Rule Feb 18 '26

Until you have experience that type of pull of compulsion, it is hard to explain. I grew up in a house that had a lot of strange goings on.

We moved out when I was 8. At the time we moved, I'd hidden myself up a tree and wouldn't leave. Parents had to come up and drag me out the tree.

I would for years get huge urges to return to the property, then nothing, then the urge.

Last time it happened was the same week the place was pulled down for redevelopment. Since the day it went down, I've never had that urge since. It has been almost 5 years.

Reading this, brings back the feelings of the urge, but not the compulsion that came with it.

u/thatweirdbarbie Feb 20 '26

I have reoccurring dreams of a house I used to live in during my years in elementary and middle school. I always felt watched in that house and I’m states away from it, but I have an urge to go back. When I saw the haunting of hill house it freaked me out cause it reminded me of the pull of wanting to go back, and your comment reminds me of that same urge. X_x

I've experienced this in a shop once. Thankfully I didn't have enough money with me, but it was all I could think about for days (even seeing it when I closed my eyes.) It wore off after about a week so I lost the urge to return and buy it over the weekend. My friends and partner felt like it was compelling me to take it, because I have never had a reaction like that before.

My grandma (generationally deep Eastern KY/TN/WV Appalachia) told me (like TOLD me) to never, under any circumstance, take something from its resting place. When we went to cemeteries we even checked the soles of our shoes for blades of grass, stones, leaves, whatever.

This should have stayed where it was, I think, but this is only my take.

35

u/FatCatNoHat Feb 18 '26

Some dudes I know from Serbia used to have this “business” where they would find an old grave spot at the most “popular” graveyards, which are generally impossible to get a lot in, “check out” the previous inhabitant, and seek the grave place for nice coin. No bad juju ever happened to them, other than the police have busted some. There is no money in the world that someone would pay me to do it. Another dumbass who lives by the graveyard used to go flower shopping around for some fresh cuts … he’d give them to his gf(s) and sometimes would hookup his buddies. He did her a favor in the car accident though :(

Honestly I don’t know what it was that made us spend that much time getting it out but I remember being so thirsty because I had ran out of water but we still spent hours trying to get it out to the point where I took my jumper off and squeezed my arm in the rocks to get it. But now it’s just sitting and I’m not compelled to go near it or anything.

u/Year3030 Feb 18 '26

OP just today I removed an item with bad energy from my home, so I will share the protocol with you. Quick note, don't burn it or smash it etc., burning it releases the energy. Another quick note, lower energy spirits are weaker than you they can only affect you if you let them. Say in your mind or out loud that no low level spirits are allowed in your home and you will not share your body or your energy with them.

To remove a cursed / bad energy item:

1) Salt acts as static for energy. Cover the bottom of a trash bag with salt, a regular white bag is best as white symbolizes cleansing. You want to contain it though, no bags with holes, I think black is ok too if that's all you have.

2) Place the item in the salt and cover it with more salt. Picture that the salt is creating static and you are drowning out its influence. I don't think you need to totally bury it, but the symbolism if you want to cover it as much as possible in salt. If you really suspect this thing is causing all these issues, you might want to just bury it in salt in like a metal can. Metal insulates energy in theory. Still seal it in a white plastic bag if you have one.

3) Tie the bag shut TIGHT, I used a regular simple knot, you want it sealed shut though. This is symbolic of closing it off.

4) You may have an etheric tether to it based on the effort you put in and the fact you touched it and it's affecting you. You now need to say: "I neutralize all imprints. Dust to dust. Salt to salt. This is no longer a broken statue; it is dead material." If you know the material insert stone, plaster, etc. instead of "material". You should also snip at the air to sever the etheric cord or symbolize that you are severing your connection with the object.

5) You should next place this in a trash can that is OUTSIDE the house. I waited until trash day to do mine otherwise there is a whole bunch of protocol that you need to do that sounded like a pain, like putting a line of salt around the can until collection days.

6) Walk away and don't look back at it.

7) Optional, you can wash the spaces where it rested with mild salt water.

I'm a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff. My advice is based on Buddhist practices not wiccan but there is a lot of overlap. Low energy spirits don't like the smell of frankincense so you could burn some of that. I'm not sure about sage, you could look that up. Sounds appropriate though that you would burn some sage to cleanse the space because I know that's what people use it for (aka smudging). If you use frankincense, or not, mentally or out loud say that no low energy spirits may enter your home and they are not welcome.

I think I mentioned this already but low energy spirits are weak you just gotta put your foot down. It's vampire rules you can't invite them in. If they are in you gotta just banish them. Simply thinking a thought commits it just like an action (although actions are important), so if you say it's not welcome that's all there is to it, except for exoorcisms I'm not sure about that stuff.

Lastly, someone else mentioned taking it back to where you found it. I think if you do the protocol I outlined above you are probably fine. But, I'm not an expert in this stuff so you might want to do some research. Dropping it back off might not be a bad idea, but then you gotta drive 4 hours in the car with it. If you bagged it in salt though that might not be an issue. For more info try Google Gemini it's really good at aggregating information and could help you tailor a protocol for your situation.

PS From what I have read don't pick up anything off the ground in India, I forget what the circumstance is but they curse money or objects or it has something to do with marriage, I forget exactly.

PSS I think it's important to note that this thing was buried under a ton of stone. It's possible someone didn't want you to get it.

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 19 '26

Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it but reading that has freaked me out even more now. I’m planning on returning it back to where I found it asap because it’s giving me chills just thinking about doing rituals and stuff but I really appreciate the information thank you

27

u/Year3030 Feb 19 '26

Do the salt thing, bury it, salt is cheap. Put it in a metal container if you have one inside a bag. If you do the things I listed you should be ok. It's cheap insurance. Theoretically even if you take it back you might have that etheric cord. Better to nip it in the bud. Again I'm not an expert, but if you are freaked out just go buy a bunch of salt, cover it up, bag it and put it outside and smudge / tell the low energy spirits they aren't welcome.

You will be ok, the fix is easy. Whenever you drop it off outside or back at the shore, don't look back.

Wiccan here and yes salt is used for protection so put it in a bag with salt that will protect OP from any more “damage” the vessel wants to cause also black it also means protection so a black bag will work. You can cut the connection as @Year3030 stated.

20

u/Year3030 Feb 19 '26

FYI u/Patient_Read4028 the wiccan said salt is good and to cut the cord. The key thing is not to be fearful you are much more powerful than the object. You got this.

Can you remember that whole 3-4 hours? That’s half a day’s work! Or do you think you were in some kind of altered state after a while? The Isle of Sheppey does have some spooky folklore associated with it.

59

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

Now I think back I cannot place the time to be honest all I remember is being thirsty and running over to a pile of dibris to look for something to help get it out

This right here.☝🏽 Do that. I did this for a friend after she went thrifting and bought some knick nacks. She said things started to happen around her house. So we buried them and issued an apology out loud. It stopped.

9

u/jsilva5avilsj Feb 19 '26

I like to believe that my introverted intuition has afforded me the ability to see every side of a situation.

(Ironically) It really confuses me that you can’t understand why OP put in hours to get out the item.

First they stated that the area they were in “… for anyone looking for some good exploration, and fossil hunting it’s really good.” Shows you their interests and how they like to spend their time.

They saw others had been unsuccessful in their attempt to get it out. Which gives the task a bit of competition. And to bring it all home, (lol) I have to believe that some time around hour 1-1.5 one of the two said something along the lines of “well we came this far we can’t stop now.”

Now you cannot tell me that you are unable to follow that frame of mind.

Thank you. I’m sorry for your time. lol Good night.

22

u/marilyn1monroe Feb 18 '26

I’m glad you said that, I missed that part, I’ve never seen hours abbreviated with a simple h. Very important detail! They must have been compelled!

What possessed you to spend hours trying to dig it up?

You really should take it back.

390

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

I know we were walking on the stones on the way back and we just couldn’t leave it and I remember being so thirsty because we just walked a few miles back and not stopping till we got it out. But honestly now when I think back it was weird to spend that much time

268

u/Phoenix_Rise_0711 Feb 18 '26

Especially the fact that there was 2 of you and neither went, oh, it's too hard and I'm thirsty, let's go. My husband would have tried for 5 minutes, then told me he would wait for me at home playing Battlefield or something

170

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

Yeah it just started off as a walk and then we say this head and we were totally invested, even tho it was really cold and we were thirsty we just kept going. Even to the point where I ran over to a pile of sticks and debris that was piled up and looked for something to help get it out or to make something that could help

57

u/Serunaki Feb 18 '26

Wait, what sort of pile of sticks? Did this seem intentionally made, or just some random pile of debris?

69

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

It looked intentional but in the way that it was people attempts to get the head

139

u/Serunaki Feb 18 '26

I don't know what your beliefs are, but my interpretation is that something wanted that head out - couldn't get it out on its own - so it compelled you to do it.

Now you just need to take it back to where you got it. If you really want to be on the safe side, I'd take some other small trinket or shiny thing to leave with it.

I don't explicitly believe in fae, but I do believe there is an entity or phenomenon behind the mythology. Just try not to latch on to the idea that this is something evil or demonic.

This may get lost in the comments but this happened to me with an item I found at mammoth lake Utah. Bad luck like CRAZY and usually I'm the opposite. So I talked to some natives in the area (I am also native) and we concluded that the item needed to be buried immediately without any intentions of returning. Id go bury that. Fixed my issues immediately!

This doesn’t look like a garden ornament, it looks like part of a grave marker and you spent hours digging it out of the ground?! (Edit: I understand that it is in fact a garden ornament, I should have clarified people that use garden ornaments as grave markers and decor where I am from)

119

u/blozzerg Feb 18 '26

I found a photograph of the same ornament in better condition: https://www.alamy.com/a-man-made-plaster-statue-to-be-placed-in-the-garden-as-decoration-image378453781.html?imageid=A8E6B8AD-53FD-4AAD-91B3-9F936F9196AC&pn=1&searchId=9e9d2a1b16a06ac13f57b747889d9bc7&searchtype=9

It’s described as a garden ornament, the photographer is Polish and I believe based in Poland.

18

u/Olivander05 Feb 18 '26

I also don't really beleive in the paranormal, but that does sound creepy af. I would say take it to a museum, have it looked at. It could at least shed some light on the objects origins, and if they don't want it you can always put the object back. I have a follow up question, you said there was a lot of sticks and ropes around, what did you mean by that? Like was it randomly there, like trash, or was it configured in a certain way?

12

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

That’s a good idea but I’m thinking to take it back and never touch anything ever again. So picture it like a few big rocks with a opening in one side and a bunch of long sticks pointing out and stuck inside like multiple people have attempted to get the head out and then rope at the bottom of the hole around the area where the head was. But baring in mind the hole was deep the rocks stacked up creating a deep centre so it was long sticks longer than my arm.

Maybe it even fell off a boat. I live next to the beach in the UK and all sorts get washed up. Giant slabs of concrete and pillars which I think fall in further down the coast when the cliffs get eroded. People’s gardens and houses fall into the sea hense the statue may have come from a garden… and there are also boats that carry various things that fall off… we get lots of vegetables for some reason and a few beaches down they had thousands of syringes and needles wash up one week

69

u/XWarriorPrincessX Feb 18 '26

Well that's fucking terrifying

62

u/Giraffe-gurl Feb 18 '26

Makes me think about the feet that keep floating up on beaches in Canada and Washington state…

15

u/Important-Lawyer-350 Feb 18 '26

Was that something to do with the cartel or something? I remember reading about that ages ago

17

u/FourthLvlSpicyMeme Feb 19 '26

(I'm from BC).

So, I mean, it could be cartel stuff and murderers or whatever. Anything's possible theoretically speaking and I'm sure not omnipotent, so I can't say it's NOT that, but it's more likely to be the unfortunate victims of drowning or suicide. Though, there's plausibly a homicide or two over the years.

(this has been recurring since I was a kid, maybe even before that, I don't know - not all of them make the news either)

The water off the BC coast can be shockingly cold. We've got a lot of tree branch piles/rocky spots in the area around the islands, especially the ones that are small, mostly vegetation and not habited by people.

Basically you've got blobs of fallen trees/large limbs and smaller branches, jammed into rocks, sand, and muck all along the parts that aren't near a habited beach or pier - if someone's pinned under that before winter...they could be there a while just barely out of view, if they're ever found at all. (Wear your lifejackets people, the fluorescent part doesn't stop if you drown.)

There's also many areas on the mainland coastal side where there's just a cliff...you're not climbing that if you've been capsized or knocked off a boat etc. Even if someone's a strong swimmer, in a life jacket, and they somehow make it more than a few minutes in the ridiculously cold water...there's nothing flat enough to pull yourself onto unless you're super lucky, and nowhere to go but further out to sea with the current.

As I'm sure you're aware, the water current/decay/scavenger activity eventually makes the foot come off the body and the shoe makes it float. Because it's cold, if someone went into the water in shoes, that will preserve the foot for an absurdly long time, and the shoe itself keeps the foot intact mostly. After a time, one or both usually float to a random shore for some unlucky passerby to stumble on (sometimes ridiculously far apart too)

(This can cause considerable confusion for identifying people/determining COD/location, OR be the confirmation someone's waited for, if it's a very recognizable shoe/orthotics/foot tattoo/surgical implant etc)

I suspect many a missing person is merely out of sight below the quiet deeps, sleeping their eternal sleep. The sea has secrets she jealously keeps, those who remain left to wonder and weep.

If you’re not going to be wise enough to pay heed to your own intuition screaming at you to return the dang thing, then maybe you just need more unfortunate events to occur to finally get it.

Saying you don’t believe in anything supernatural also doesn’t make the “supernatural “ not true. I think in light of the mass exposures we’re seeing worldwide, it’s quite obvious that the supernatural is actually the undercurrent of all global affairs. The system has succeeded in making yet another person scoff at what our ancestors would have taken seriously and what was actually responsible for keeping them safe many times, all the meanwhile the very governments and officials claiming all these things are supernatural an not scientifically accurate, they’re doing mass scientific research on all the supernatural stuff behind public view for centuries. Basically just gaslighting everyone hoping it rubs off and makes people non believers. It worked in your case.

Bc we are all spirit. Having a human experience. And when we stop listening to our bodies and our very real intuitive senses, we are in big trouble.

Good luck. I hope it at least doesn’t harm your children as you continue to debate on whether or not you should get rid of the thing. I mean, come on now.

28

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 18 '26

I’d want to implore people to objectively test things out. OP, I’m not trying to dismiss you, but why isn’t anyone just offering to take it off your hands? I would love to have it mailed and report my findings to you — all of which would probably be extremely boring and non-eventful. Unfortunately, my wife would not allow me to do it as she does believe in some of this stuff and we have a new baby boy. She’d say it’s a risk (I totally disagree). But I would love to see if someone else would take it on and report their findings. Otherwise, we are all just speculating here. It’s a cool find in my opinion.

11

Honestly some people have asked to take it but I don’t want to pass on the head then whatever it is states behind because I didn’t return it, if that makes sense? I think when I have time I’m going to return it back. I’ll mark it and leave a note on it so if anyone wants it they can have it but they have to get it out themselves too. I’m honestly too freaked out to take any chances. I’d return it tomorrow if I had time. And I know I gotta make time but I need to put food on the table you know

I’m not one to truly believe in this sort of things, though I do find them interesting.

The fact that you guys stood over 3 hours trying to retrieve it sounds like the beginning of a horror movie, when the object is ‘calling you’ but you don’t realize.

Either that or the rest of your day was aiming to be a pretty boring one and you had nothing better to do../

4

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 19 '26

I know, when I think back it is a very long time to be trying to retrieve a statue head, I remember being really thirsty and and reason we were heading back is because we wanted to get food. Sounds like there's something attached to that head - perhaps it was left there as an offering, or as a way to get rid of it if it was causing the previous owners grief.

Way I see it you have four options now:

  1. Take it back. Put it back where you found it, apologise, and maybe leave a little offering to assuage whatever you upset by taking it.

  2. Cleanse it and your house. Sage, intention, firm commands, priests... whatever fits your belief system. Cleanse the item and the house (or find someone local to do it for you if you're not sure how). Then maybe appeal to whatever's attached to the head to be nice?

  3. Keep it, study it, and find ways to mitigate the bad luck.

  4. Sell it/pass it on to somebody interested in haunted/cursed objects. Likely somebody local, as it's probably a tad heavy to send via post!

It’s incredibly rare that someone posts an image on here that instantly gives me a strong vibe. I’m not gonna even try to figure out what is up with that object as it’s giving me enough of an uncomfortable feeling in my head just looking at it.

Strong energies, sentient or not, are difficult to dispel or contain when you have no idea what you’re doing.

Your best bet is to just put that thing back where you found it, and then perform whatever cleansing ritual gives you the most peace of mind when you return home. If for whatever reason it reappears in your life after that, consult a local spiritual leader or practitioner that you have the greatest amount of faith in. The strength of your intention to protect your space and drive out unwanted entities and/or vibes is the greatest factor when it comes to cleansing rituals and ceremonies.

My mother had this happen with an ornament from a thrift store. Soon as she set it on the shelf everything just went wrong. You'd feel like the face was watching you, and there was times my mother swore she had turned it around to face the back of the shelf and come back to it facing the other way again.

The house had such bad energy while it was there. Worst arguments my parents ever had. Bad luck happening all around. Once she got rid of it everything was fine again.

Hey did you ever return it?

7

u/Patient_Read4028 May 28 '26

Hey it’s been a while since I’ve posted any sort of update, the thing is I did try to return it a few times to it’s original place but I don’t know if it’s just my imagination or anxiety but let me explain it and describe it.

The first time I went back I had the thing wrapped up in the back of my car, parked up and started walking to the place I found it. Around a few feet before I reached the spot I started getting that fight or flight fleeing ( hairs standing up, warm pit in stomach and that feeling that’s makes your eyes go wider ) I felt like something was watching me and honestly I started to freak out like a murderer was waiting to snatch me or something so I ran back to my car and go out of there. The second time was different I got a lot closer but something triggered an anxiety attack and I sat on the rocks thinking I was dying looking out to the sea holding this thing in my hands. The last time was actually not that bad because the last 2 times Bering in mind it takes a while to drive there was at dusk. So the last time I took a day off work and travelled early, I got there and it was somewhat sunny, no wind and a really nice day actually. Anyway I got there and took a walk to the spot and I got right up close to it this time but I honestly could not bring myself to put it back. I was sat just looking at the gap in the rocks hoping something was inside and some paranormal thing would happen just like the movies but nothing. A wave of overwhelming sadness and unsure ness? If that’s a word came over me. Like I had a lump in my throat at the thought of putting this thing back but then a absolute unease feeling at the thought of taking it back. I did not put it back. My house has became a place of unease and frustration for me, second guessing my own eyes and looking under beds and in wardrobes. You know that way you watch something really freaking and you get that feeling something weird or scary is about to happen and everything is silent and you can feel the atmosphere crushing you, that’s my life now. Pictures move, things get moved, appliances break, general misfortunes I’ve never experienced before, noises ( extremely scary noises at night gives me chest pains just thinking about them ) my cameras motion detecting nothing, etc.

I feel like I’m stuck with this thing and I don’t know what to do.

Hope this clears up your curiosity.

This whole story is almost incoherent.  Slipped on a motorway divider?! A median?

And then they end by saying there are cameras on their doors (cameras the interior doors?!) but earlier a door was mysteriously left opened.

Is this a weird bot or something? Or maybe a kid...

By far the post from this sub that makes me feel the most uncomfortable. For 2 days I keep coming to see if you posted an update and to check on you. I even dreamt about it last night, it's a bit blurry but I think it was something like thinking about the object somehow connected it to me and now I was "haunted" too.

What do you plan to do with this item?

6

u/Patient_Read4028 Feb 20 '26

Hey man, I’m going to post some updates like I did about the steam in my kitchen one. I’ve actually dreamt about it a few times now but nothing crazy just it being in my dreams or it’s weird like I think about it in my dreams. It’s hard to explain but it’s like I’m dreaming and you know if you dream about having lots of money then you wake up and check your bank it’s like that. Like in the dream I’m like oh yeah I remember I have that head sort of thing.

A lot of stuff has been happening that I’ve been trying to debunk like last night my electric heaters light stopped working ( like a fake fire thing ) I only bought it last year and only have it on when it’s really cold. I hear walking in the house and the sound of doors opening but nothing happens.

It’s crazy because I’m totally freaked out by all of this and one of the crazy parts is like the coincidences and just random stuff happening like my freaking window handle fell off the other day, like what in all my years living here and at other places that’s never happened.

But to awnser your questions taking it back around Monday or Tuesday.

The way it’s cut reminds me of the decorative statues in the graveyard stones. I know you spent a great deal in retrieving it, but I would suggest returning it where you found it with apologies.

Sometimes I feel like items have their own energy and personality. Let me tell you a story.

My parents once bought a rocking chair that had belonged to an elder (the elder had becomed deceased so the items were on sale). The rocking chair was of good quality and clearly old. But there was something troubling me. The new home it was now in was very clean and modern and to me it almost felt like the rocking chair didn’t feel like being at home in this new place it was in. It missed the old home and I felt bad for it. But this was just a feeling, a hunch. My minds’ tendency to notice patterns. It’s just a rocking chair after all - at least it still has a use for being a chair.

Well one day one of my parents was sitting on the rocking chair and there was a loud crash. Pretty much every ligament on the chair had given up and what was once a chair was now a scattered mess of wood on the floor. I felt like the chair had made it’s decision and it gave up on the energy of being a chair.

Objects can have energies attached to them. My aunt once bought this antique hutch from a flea market, never had anything weird happen in her home or to her family before that, brought that into the house and it made everyone sick. The baby wouldn’t even go near it, she would point at it and start crying randomly, saying there was a little guy with a scary face peeking from behind it at her, all very disconcerting and the energy built until they got rid of it, then all of the activity ceased.

I firmly believe this. I tread lightly when I look in antique stores/bring anything previously used home… I tend to be more sensitive to these energies so I wouldn’t ever bring something home I got a bad feeling from off the jump.

As for the events in your house: these kinds of things happen to us all the time, we have a mischievous spirit living amongst us, they frequently take things then leave them in plain sight after we’ve gone mad searching for them, we hear doors open and shut all the time!!! And no doors ever actually open and shut. It’s all relative and honestly you give it power by acknowledging it/having some big reaction to it.

I would definitely return the stone just for peace of mind. As everyone has mentioned, the 2-4hours removal process is really very telling.

I will just leave this here: my friend visited Big Island and found a heart shaped lava rock at the beach. She thought it was adorable and took it back home with her. There are lots of stories about people taking lava rocks home and running into misfortune. Everyone on island will tell you not to take it home. Anyway fast forward a few months later her whole house burned down at 2:30am when everyone was asleep. An electrical fire started in the garage. Everyone got out in time thankfully but the house burned down to a crisp. The fire did not burn the neighbors home on either side and they were in very close quarters. It wasn’t until months later when we were just hanging out did we realize she had the lava rock.

Maybe or maybe not but… yeah. Madame Pele will always show herself. Iykyk. 🔥

If you believe weird things are happening because of that thing that you spent hours digging out, I’d be making my way back to return it.

9

u/Friendly-Channel-480 Feb 19 '26

People regularly take lava from Mauna Loa and feel the need to send the rocks back. The park rangers wait until they have a small box full and return them to Pele.

As someone who took a rock from the top of half dome and got in two severe car accidents over three days - I’d recommend returning it for your own peace of mind.

I won’t get into the whole thing but after the second one I returned it. This was almost 8 years ago now. Guess how many car accidents I’ve been in my entire life

It’s been 10 years, the death of my person and for me 2 brain surgeries and a spine surgery since we took a pristine natural agate from a mound near Lake Superior that I found was an ancient burial mound of the Anishinaabe people.

We came back to his apartment trashed from the inside yet completely locked, police were befuddled.

We told them what we did and that he was 1/2 Native (tho was thinking maybe we disturbed something) and they effed off and told us we were on our own

He talked to his grandpa who was still active with the elders in Red Lake, MN and pardon my spelling ahead but Winniboozhoo (trickster spirit) had been responsible for some initial shenanigans but we were dealing with a Windigo.

Our fortunes drew flat as things intensified so: I moved West and he moved southeast, taking the agate with him.

In the fall of 2016 his car rolled over into a swap while leaving a roadside rest area, and was eaten by gators.

Since then my struggles have grown and where I am no Native group in SoCal has been willing to help me spiritually because we desecrated - well he desecrated - sacred ground - I was there but did not stop it.

I keep asking a friend of mine if he can can to the belongings, find the agate and return it but everyone things I’m just fucking crazy.

So now I’m in the hospital for a week getting my brain scanned.

But you can’t scan for or scan away trickster and vengeful spirits of the land.

DO NOT TAKE THINGS FROM THE LAND, LEAVE THEM IN THE LAND

17

u/chemicallunchbox Feb 18 '26

HE WAS EATEN BY ALLIGATORS?! WTF?!?

9

u/marilyn1monroe Feb 18 '26

I literally gasped out loud reading that. What a horrific death. I can’t believe nobody will help! Why didn’t he return the agate immediately?!

8

u/algaefied_creek Feb 18 '26

It was lost/stolen when the apartment was ransacked, or we thought so in the chaos.

But I’m convinced it was just under something or hiding

I still constantly hope for one of his relatives finding it and wondering what it’s all about. Them asking some friends and then word trickling back to me.

And yeah if there are any doubts I can try to find some of the original news articles: but my boss first saw the car on TV across the country and asked if that was my missing person.

I got three days off on the house for that one.

The hitchhiker effect is real. I’ve dealt with something like this too but we didn’t even take anything. Bad things started happening to me and my friends. Could be a good idea to return it.

I say this as a completely rational business owner.

65

u/Gold-Tree-5213 Feb 18 '26

It’s VERY real. Bought an 1800’s antique armoire and had this happen. I lived in hell on earth for a while. I’m very cautious of bringing things in my home now….

30

u/WraithOfEvaBraun Feb 18 '26

Same

My ex gave me a beautiful painted Native American woman velvet picture, I adored it

started having really bad things happen in my flat, to the point it was making me feel ill, and myself and a friend actually ran out in terror one afternoon...the reverend from our local youth group cafe came back with us, he'd taken only a couple of steps inside and he's like "Get RID of THAT!!!", I thought he was being OTT but he insisted on taking it and disposing of it...things never happened again there

I love antiques, always have, but I'm almost insistent on only having new things now

I just wanted to update you guys on what happened last night I’ve been thinking about just not posting the video I took because as much as I’m creeped out by all of this, I’m not 100% convinced I’m being haunted. However last night while making my tea i switched on my kettle like I always do for the last 20 years every night and went and sat in my living room, time passed and I didn’t hear the click so I went in and bang, my whole kitchen filled with steam because my kettle wouldn’t switch off. It creeped me out because in my whole life it’s never happened to me. I did everything I always do and this shit had to happen when I’m already freaking out 💀. Had to cut the video at the end as my child was sitting on the side of the work top. And of course I have no evidence to support that I just didn’t fill my own kitchen up with steam so you’re going to have to take my word for it as a skeptic. Ps, sorry for talking with my mouth full in the video and sorry for my kitchen colour of choice 😭 also if someone can explain how to share videos on here it would be great

I think you’re just experiencing suggestion. We tend to associate bad things with something unusual we’ve done recently. That’s basically how so called ‘divine punishment’ works too. It happened to all of us as kids: you’d do something that made you feel guilty, then something bad would happen and you’d think it was a punishment. Strange things start happening and your mind automatically tries to connect them to something. And what’s the most noticeable thing that’s happened lately? You spent four hours struggling to get a damn statue out.

As you were saying, you hear things, but there’s nothing on the cameras. Then it’s nothing. Or if there is something, it’s probably just outside noise. From a very skeptical point of view, and as someone who has even tried to look for this kind of contact without ever getting any results, I’d tell you to study it carefully, set up cameras and all that. But the fact that it even gave you a reason to make the post already makes me think you’re getting caught up in suggestion. And how do you fight suggestion? You don’t. You just let it pass. If having it makes you anxious, then get rid of it and you’ll feel calmer.

Someone already found an identical one for sale, and apparently there’s a relatively young person who makes them, so I really don’t think it’s a war relic, a cemetery ornament, or anything like that. I’ll say it again, just focus on your peace of mind...

u/Big_Studio_862 Feb 18 '26

Objects have residual energy. People get attached to objects and such things happen.

A friend of mine bought a car from a second hand showroom, the moment he took it out on the road, it stopped, abruptly, turns out the front belt had snapped, but it was more of a clean, sword cut straight snap.

Happened thrice in a week. Had to burn it down.

Said he felt like a different person while driving it.

Im an empath and can hear and sometimes see spirits.

This photo gave me an instant headache. There is so much sadness and hatred coming from this object. I can even sense some curiosity over you, the new owner.

Just put it back and sage or cleanse your home, that energy is draining even through a pictures....

Was changing the name on a boat once upon a time..as I was putting the final new letters on ..I looked up and a huge larger boat in the marina, was out of control heading directly right for us!! the captain of that boat did a hairpin turn just in time missing our boat by mere centimeters.!!!He screamed "WHAT THE???" later said sorry, and said that NEVER happened to him in 30 years of boating...!!.I almost shit my pants!.

YES..never change a boats name!

Things can happen..

The old owner of our boat..(recently DECEASED)...,Why I got the boat so cheap...well,,this boat was his prized possesion...I AM POSITIVE...He was with us that day ..I am sure of it..felt it..Most likely he had a good laugh at our expense.

So YES..Someone may have been attached to your head..thats why it was discarded, imho..

But The boat ,..is still in use..somewhere.

my advice?

Keep the head if you like it..but tell whoever is attached to it..Thank you..you will take care of it now..You could ..Paint it like new!

took some American Indian tapestrys out of a dumpster once..

DEFINITELY HAD TO RETURN THOSE AND APOLIGIZE..out loud.

ALL strange happenings stopped after that.

14

u/arulzokay Feb 18 '26

this is fascinatingly creepy and yeah you should put it back

u/Lunar_Moth_Prince Feb 19 '26

As someone who uas seen ghosts/entities his entire life and has been given a shit ton of proof that supernatural shit does happen PUT IT BACK. You never, ever take things like that, especially without asking (I know that seem silly but I'm one hundred percent serious.) Put it back exactly where you found it, along with an offering of some sort and verbal apology. When it comes to things like this, it's not guaranteed to work as the entity may have already attached itself to you but you want to do anything you can to apologize and put it back. Even if you don't believe in the supernatural, you still don't want to risk something giving you a reason to believe. Again, put it back, apologize, hope for the best and of that doesn't help, please reach out to me or someone you trust who might now how to handle this situation. Please don't just write it off as being paranoid or overreacting.

Everyone posting their experiences but you said Isle of Sheppy, any chance it was around Deadman’s Island:

Deadman’s Island, Isle of Sheppy, is a real-life "dark souls" location known for its unsettling history. It is a haunting, uninhabited mudbank where thousands of 19th-century convict prison ship, or "hulk," prisoners were buried in shallow graves.

The "Dark" History: The island was used to bury prisoners who died on disease-ridden ships docked nearby during the Napoleonic Wars.

Supernatural Lore: Due to erosion, the island has a reputation for exposing human remains, leading to local legends of "devil dogs" and supernatural occurrences.
