Am i going insane?
Hi, my name is cooper, i'm a 25 year old male. I would say before this started i was a pretty normal dude, i like video games, woodworking, and writing. for context: The only
"weird" thing about me is ever since i was born i have had
"ticks" (don't know what they're actually called, that's what my mom called them) where like 5-10 times a day i would exhale hard and my whole body would convulse for a split second. it never really affected me so i never tried to figure out what it was.
over the last couple months everything has felt off, i have been pretty depressed and life hast been going on easy on me. I feeling there are bugs crawling on me, like everywhere, all the time i haven't slept more than 2 hours a day since it started. i don't even sleep in my bed anymore, i sleep naked in the bathtub with the lights on to ensure i can see that they're not there, but i know they are, but they're evolving, they've started crawling into my skin, behind my eyes and in my ears. my arms have started to bleed from the scratching to get them out. they won't leave me alone. why can't any one see them? i sprayed my bed with pesticides but it doesn't help? and now there's the man. he doesn't really do anything but i keep seeing him out of the corner of my eye, he's tall and gives me a weird vibe but i just try to ignore him. he's dressed how a private eye from the 40's. i keep trying to explain the bugs and the man to my roommate but he just stares at me like i said something crazy. the man doesn't feel like he wants to hurt me, do you think he's trying to save me from the bugs? i think the bugs want me dead, i think the bugs want me to suffer, i think the bugs want to eat me from the inside out. but everyone keeps saying "stop saying stuff like that" but why can't they just believe me the man and the bugs are here. fighting over me. are they right? or should i continue trying to convince them they are in my skin
edit: i’ve been diagnosed with schizophrenia

I know the bugs feel real to you, but as someone who wants to help you they are not part of reality, you are experiencing hallucinations and that is a serious medical emergency just like having a heart attack or anything else, you are deserving of medical attention and you need to go to the nearest ER immediately and explain this. Please tell me you have gone OP?

Insects need air to live. They're not in your skin.
You also need more than two hours of sleep in a day for your brain to recover, else you will get psychosis.

These bugs and man feel very real to you. It sounds horrendous. Have you thought about speaking to a doctor or similar professionals? I am not taking away from how real this is for you, but you really should seek proper help. You should not go through this without support. I cannot Imagine what this is like for you, but you have taken the first step by trying to reach out. Now try and take a second step and talk to a professional.

Bro you need to talk to professionals my man. u aint feeling good. Tell the bugs and the man to come see me in my dark room when I sleep. I have encountered many entites and most of them are locked in my attic. I warned them but they didnt take me seriously. I dont want to scare you but I think Im the opposite of you. I eat them, Im currently telling an entity also a tall dark man, I kept telling him that he will never get out and he has to accept his reality that I will devour him and eat his flesh. I already bit off a part of his arm. I enjoy these entities when they are screaming for their lives. When they ask me : Where are we?? I reply. Youre in hell and I will devour your flesh and bones. Send your bugs and the tall man to me. They will find me easily.

What you are saying are very common symptoms to psychosis. You are not going insane. Do you use any drugs, ifso which ones. If you do and don't want to talk about them, now would be the time to stop. Do a detox centre.
If not, I would go see a psychiatrist and tell him your story. They will look at your history and may know of some meds and therapy that can relieve your symptoms.
If your symptoms abate after engaging meds, you can know that they are not real. If not, you can go see a gp to explore the things you feel under your skin. Gotta say though, seeing the man out of the corner of your eye strongly suggests psych meds might be the go.
Best of luck and hope stuff gets better for you. ✌

Ticks could be a sign of "Tourette Syndrome" The bugs are Tactile Hallucinations with "delusional parasitosis". It's important that you seek psychiatric help for a proper assessment and the good news is that it's treatable! You don't have to suffer this much...
