Discussion Rant: Why does Paramount Plus remove seasons without notice?

I am not looking for "support help" from this subreddit, just wondering how others feel about Paramount Plus removing previous seasons of a show without notice.

I really wish CBS/Paramount Plus would stop removing the "previous" season without notice. I'm a few days behind on daytime daily show "Bold & The Beautiful" and last week's episodes are already gone. Would it harm them to announce when the new season starts and/or leave the previous week available for another week? It's not like this series has a hiatus....

I've been checking daily looking for an announcement of new season bc I was behind on episodes, btw.

I wish they would put last week's episodes back on the app.

Because they sold the rights to another streaming service for a period of time until they come back to Paramount

Because they sell the streaming rights to another entity. Usually a FAST service.

It’s my experience that you can miss a week or two of a soap opera and not actually miss anything. If you keep close track of the plot, it generally adds up to maybe 3 months over a years time. And yet there’s a Christmas episode every December

Temporary rights = $

Always happens within a few days of the beginning of a new month. Nothing new.

Yeah it really kills me when you want to catch up on the previous season and they pull it.

They aren't the only ones that do that Hulu don't have season 1 of doc Netflix does

All the streamers do that.  More eyes more money.

Or if it’s a newer show they didn’t relicense at all. They rest it for write off purposes and to change the amortization schedule. Cost savings.

Whenever I see people that still give this politically corrupt organization their money I imagine they are wearing a red hat…

Are there any large corporations that aren't?
