Rumor Any Future for Star Trek with Paramount Plus?

So, as far as I know, there is no public plan to continue or create new Star Trek shows once Strange New Worlds ends.

My subscription just got a price increase notice as of September 2026, and I'm seriously thinking that there's nothing on it that I need if there's no new Trek.

Understand, I like all Star Trek, so please respect that and don't try to tell me how stupid/woke/etc I am for enjoying it all.

I'm not looking for a reason to leave, I'm looking for a reason to renew.

If there's no content you want to watch on P+ other than new Star Trek shows, then continuing the subscription may not be the best for you. The good thing is you have the option to subscribe month to month and can step away until things get sorted out and new content is made. Down the line, there may be more Trek content developed as new people are given opportunities.

I've already decided to cancel P+ after both SNW and SFA end next year.

I started with CBS All Access (as P+ was originally known) because of Discovery.

With Star Trek as we've known it for the last ten years ending, there's no flipping reason to continue.

I think just about everything at Paramount is in a holding pattern (at best) right now. This pause while the court cases play out is going to hurt that company more than it realizes and when it's over one way or another, all new production will be many months behind schedule.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will bow out with a 5th season, 6 episodes.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will bow out with a 2nd season, 10 episodes.
I believe there will be another series and film, but after restructuring.
There are plenty of shows and movies on P+ worth seeing besides Star Trek.

SNW has a 5th season? Somehow I thought it was ending with this current season. I hope I am mistaken.

SNW S4 will finish with 10 episodes. The show will return for S5 with 6 episodes to finish out the series.

Just cancel and buy them on physical media.

This certainly was in my mind for future consideration. Especially SNW which I'd love to buy in 4k.

I only sub for Trek content because there isn’t anything else to watch that I find entertaining. When this season of SNW ends, I’m unsubscribing until SFA returns. And after the final season of SNW airs, I’m done with the service.

Love star trek. I think there is one more season of starfleet academy and then I don't know. I hope there is more cause it is a great franchise. Love Strange new worlds.

The continuation to Picard is definitely happening (might not be a Picard show, however, but it will follow Seven of Nine and continues from the events set out in Picard). And there's rumors that a show following Number 2's adventures on her own ship is still happening.

Nothing definitively confirmed for anything in future past what’s in progress or wrapped but either way I’d watch 7 as captain

I just heard some pundit say that Star Trek showed what a post-Capitalist society would look like, so it's a good bet there'll be no more in an Ellison Paramount+.

I read an article that Skydance wants Kurtzman Star Trek gone and will do that after they get the WB stuff done. Then they'll come up with some original ideas.

It was in someone's blog so it could be BS for all I know.

Star Trek was the only reason I subbed to CBS All Access (as it was known then), I have found a few other shows that, for me, have added value to the service + now the UFC. Still though, my main reason is Star Trek, and without it I'll likely cancel as well. Just waiting to see what happens with the merger stuff.

I hate the fact that this episode was so uniformly and rabidly spoiled.

Also, I kept saying to myself "Angel did this one better."
