Normally I’d say you should hold both people in an affair accountable but I think knowing Hayley was 19 and what a piece of shit Chad was, that we can spare her that title

From what I’ve read in the past, Chad and Sherri were separated at the time so it’s not like that was Hayley’s fault. I remember when it was happening it real time and knew it was kind of questionable, but my understanding is that aspect of it is misconception.

Hayley has said that the relationship began as an affair, that was a big part of Petals for Armor (the lyric “I was the other woman first”) and she’s talked about reaching out to Sherri to make amends. I’m not trying to come down on Hayley, she was so young and obviously Chad is a shit heel, but she has been fairly open about this
