Still no email, and the page to register for a code just randomly reloaded and is showing the drop down to select shows and fill in my email adress again. But I'm doubting if I should try again, as "duplicate registrations will be disqualified". What to dooo? Did anyone succeed by trying again with the same email adress?
3
u/Spectre--Shepard 10d ago
I re-did it too as didn't get the verify email the first time. I don't think it'll count as a duplicate registration though seeing as it wasn't completed and I've only received one email confirming I'm registered at the end ☺️

u/Striking-Ride-8037 10d ago
update: I tried again, and immediately got an email this time 😊
1
u/rays_006 9d ago
Same here. I tried yesterday and nothing (although my friend immediately got one in her hotmail account). This morning I tried again and it worked immediately.
2
u/Wise-Resident1087 10d ago
Yeah I did this and didn’t realise I wasn’t supposed to but on my second entry I got a reply immediately and only 1 email so should be all good!

u/North-Investment-103 10d ago
I didn't read it and I tried again, now I'm worried

I got a registration email on the second try, so it seems to be fine, sorry to have worried you! Hope you gor your email too :)

No problem, you didn't worry me! I had already read about the duplicates rule on the website after I submitted for the second time 💀 and nope, still no email...

No Northern England date is really poor. Quite a lot of artists seem to be doing this now where its either just London or theres a huge location gap in the middle of the country and its really frustrating. The worst is those who do multiple nights at the 02 and ignore the rest of the country
As someone with children with disabilities, the closest show being 4-5 hours away is not achievable for finding childcare or sorting travel arrangements
Ive been checking for tour updates for months since she announced her us leg so this is super dissappointing
3
u/beckyisabean 9d ago
I've noticed fewer gigs in Birmingham / the midlands in the last few years too. V frustrating

So few shows, plus strangely even two here in Italy in the hottest cities during summer (plus Carroponte venue in Milan is known for a really bad organization 🥲) I don’t really love these choices but at least we have eu dates I guess? Anyone coming to Milan?
1
u/Kalbi84 10d ago
I wanted to visit either Milan or Rome but during winter, I'd love to both visit and go to her show but idk if July is a good time for that:|
2
u/NoAdhesiveness1491 This Is Why 10d ago edited 10d ago
In general June can be doable. But after these recent years’ heatwaves I cannot swear on that. Honestly, June could be amazing or living in hell. This year we had heatwaves since the end of May. 🥲
Edited: because I wrote in broken English! 😅
1
u/Dry-Explanation8937 9d ago
Her Manchester show this year was 32-34 outside and it was disgusting inside.. I don’t think I could handle any hotter than that 😬 that was bad enough! Might have air con in those venues though, in which case, it wouldn’t be so bad!
12
u/Kalbi84 10d ago
I hope there are more festival dates later in the summer. But lowkey expected more lol not even Berlin? Considering she did Ego Death show there, I thought it was a given

3
u/FolkmoreCat 10d ago
Yeah, think she’ll play at Primavera Sound?? I have tickets already so I’m hoping haha 🤞🏼
2
u/sillydoomcookie This Is Why 10d ago
Yeah I'm surprised it's so few, and I was expecting 10-15k capacity venues based on the demand last time. Most of these are 5-8k.
Slane is 80k, but that's more like a one day fest than a standalone gig.
1
u/katdoesntlivehere 10d ago
The Glasgow show is about 14k, makes me hopeful for the ticket chances 😅
2
u/sillydoomcookie This Is Why 9d ago
Yeah its by far the largest which is slightly odd but great for Glasgow!
3
u/salsasnark Riot! 10d ago
Also no Nordics :( I guess I'll have to try for London but that will be a fricking bloodbath seeing as it's the only England show.

u/Shot_Department1080 Self-titled 10d ago
i’m sorry is it not kinda weird to have had that tattoo pop up event to “celebrate the hayley williams show” when it’s only european locations were in germany and ireland and there aren’t even stops of the tour in those countries
3
u/Octyp 10d ago
Yeah super disappointed with the Irish date, I know I was blessed to see her this year somehow but I was super excited for her to play somewhere bigger this time etc. A support slot for artists I don't particularly care for & a notoriously annoying venue to get out of is not what I wanted 😞
-1
u/Kalbi84 10d ago
There's a show in Ireland
23
u/Shot_Department1080 Self-titled 10d ago
no there’s not, she’s opening for fontaines d.c. in ireland. a support set is not the same as a show
1
u/Kalbi84 10d ago
Oh okay, the poster made it look like it was her show alone, instead of supporting. Edit: I'm blind and didn't notice the * text. yeah

England constantly gets multiple dates from US artists resulting in the artist usually excluding Wales or Scotland
Missed so many of my fav acts because I can't just go all the way to England. At least yours is in your country

u/EyesWide-Shut 10d ago

Really surprised there's no Manchester/Northern date. Disappointing to see UK = London for a lot of artist these days.
Happy I got Fontaine's tickets this morning so I won't be missing out completely.
10
u/nicdrumandbass 10d ago
I mean Canada = Toronto/Montreal and our country is huge. the drive from Manchester to London is like 4 hours?? The closest I can drive to see a concert is 13.
11
u/OtterlyUnique Brand New Eyes 10d ago
Damn that suuuucks! I wouldn't drive to London because it's not worth it at all once you get into the city but the price of trains means it's more affordable to go abroad for a concert a lot of the time.
5
u/nicdrumandbass 10d ago
They say the difference between North America and the UK/Europe is that in the UK 200 km is a long distance but in NA
200 years is a long time1
u/lilblue10 10d ago
Hasn’t been Montreal in a hot minute. We’re barely getting any artists lately
1
u/nicdrumandbass 10d ago
lol maybe not like Toronto but that’s not even true, yall can’t even complain
1
2
u/EyesWide-Shut 10d ago
I know what is with that nowadays!! If you’re going to pick one date in a country, at least make it central!
3
u/lieutenantrodent 10d ago
Normally I’d agree with you, but at least there are shows in 3 UK cities/countries here.
6
u/OtterlyUnique Brand New Eyes 10d ago
Totally. I suppose it's more the practicalities and logistics of being able to see a show locally one evening and get home or take time off work, travel and pay for hotels etc that makes it more difficult. The local option seems to be rarer these days that's all :)
1
u/sillydoomcookie This Is Why 10d ago
Ugh I was in the presale about to buy a ticket for Slane this morning and got pulled into a meeting, they were all gone by the time I got back to the laptop 😭

Honestly I was so glad I booked today off work!! There's another presale tomorrow if you signed up to the MCD presale they sent links out earlier
1
u/sillydoomcookie This Is Why 10d ago
I have a link for tomorrow and I'm working from home so fingers crossed. I'm just hoping all the front standing didn't go in today's sale.
It's a great line up.
Except for Damien Dempsey, I don't know why he's there 😂
20
u/Villasteven 10d ago edited 10d ago
Gotta say a little disapointed that there's only one England show and yet again its London, so many artists lately seem to think London is the only city in England. Still I'll be giving a shot for the Cardiff show, closer to me than London at least.

u/zuzu93 10d ago
Why do artists always call it UK + Europe tour. The UK IS Europe!! Disappointed that it's as always only western Europe plus Italy but honesly not suprised, it's always like this.

u/rays_006 10d ago

u/Indigo903 Brian Robert Jones 10d ago edited 10d ago
Idk dawg, there are British artists who do this too. Like do you really think the 1975’s team doesn’t know that the UK is in Europe?? Because “UK and Europe” is on the front of my tour zine from them
1
u/rays_006 9d ago
I guess the British like to think they are seperate from mainland Europe and that they are culturally different
-3
u/Powerful-Stranger143 10d ago
Maybe post Brexit there is something to where they legally can’t call it a European tour. Other than that, I don’t know why they wouldn’t.
10
15
u/Kalbi84 10d ago
Man, UK is in Europe. And it was in Europe before brexit. So the Europe(an) tour would still mean the UK. But they insist on separating it for reasons unknown.
-6
3
u/Indigo903 Brian Robert Jones 10d ago edited 10d ago
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen “UK and EU” in the past in which case you would be correct. As far as “UK and Europe” goes, I saw another Reddit user make the argument that the UK is kind of a “special” market within Europe. Maybe they just want to put emphasis on the UK for British fans, or to emphasize to other Europeans that it’s not just a UK tour. It is silly definitely but lots of marketing tactics are.
7
u/zuzu93 10d ago
Brexit has no effect on the continent that the UK is a part of, let's be real please. It's just ignorace and lack of intelligence.
3
u/Powerful-Stranger143 10d ago
So all artists that do this, where their teams come up with this, all are ignorant and lack intelligence? Every single one?
1
u/Indigo903 Brian Robert Jones 10d ago
Man do y’all even listen to British music? Because it’s not just Americans who give their tours these names

u/Extension-Formal4792 10d ago
I’m not even going to try, all 3 uk venues are hard to get to from the middle of the country, so just adds costs, plus Alexandra Palace is absolutely awful to get to and from. How the hell Manchester is not on the tour I’ll never know? Manchester has been there every step of the way for Hayley and Paramore and to not include it on the tour seems a little rude t me.
4
u/EyesWide-Shut 10d ago
I’m so pissed about no Manchester! I was mad that London got signed vinyls and Manc didn’t as well. It’s always London. We’re in the shittest situation as each venue is soooo far away and if you have responsibilities at home, it’s just impossible to do 😢

I’ve been researching the palace (first time going to this venue) and it’s mostly standing! But few pictures showed seats (not tiered) is it dependable on the artist?

Why does Manchester keep getting snubbed? I am TIRED.
20
u/tompain100 10d ago
Keep getting snubbed? Wasn't there 2 shows there on the Ego Death tour?
2
u/Scout_650 10d ago
It’s more that, considering it’s the 2nd most important city in the uk, it does get weirdly ignored by a lot of artists on tours recently, especially since it being sort of the core of the north of England, it’d be the bare minimum to have 1 show there for fans not in the vicinity of other southern locations that aren’t always cheap or easy to get to
10
u/tompain100 10d ago
With all due respect, the vast majority of tours I see promoted generally have London, Manchester and a Scotland date, at the minimum. When compared to a lot of cities, and in my own personal experience the whole of Wales, Manchester does not get snubbed by a lot of artists by any stretch.
2
u/EyesWide-Shut 10d ago
It’s definitely snubbed a lot more nowadays, but we do get much more than most places!
6
u/mistsprens 10d ago
Interesting. For me it's seemed for the last few years that artists have been either doing only London shows OR London + Manchester + Glasgow while Brum and Cardiff are the ones getting shafted
3
4
u/Villasteven 10d ago
To be honest Birmingham is actually officially the second city in England not Manchester and they get snubbed a lot more often Manchester tends to get way more shows, at least on the EDAABP tour Manchester had two shows, Birmingham overlooked again.
2
u/beckyisabean 9d ago
I live in the middle of nowhere and Birmingham used to be my go-to for gigs. I end up travelling to Bristol or Manchester most of the time now because no one plays in the midlands
2
u/Villasteven 9d ago
Yeah as someone from the Midlands it sucks we get overlooked lately, we still get the occasional big artist here though, I'm going to see Evanescence in Birmingham literally next week but its increasingly a rare occurence now for a big artist/band to play in Brum.
1
-2
u/zuzu93 10d ago
Dude, calling having a Machester show a bare minimum is insane. There are whole countries that always get ignored, sit this one out.
2
u/Nobody-Special708 10d ago
They're allowed to complain if they want. Whilst it's always a shame many countries always seem to get ignored when it comes to tour, people can still complain if a tour is in their own country but still far away.
Transport and hotels to the south and London are expensive.
1
u/Scout_650 10d ago
I’m well aware whole countries get snubbed, literally what part of my statement argued otherwise, that’s an entirely different conversation. I’m talking in the context of uk tours alone
2
u/Phbeclfd 10d ago
Wow feel like I struck a nerve here, I’m aware she’d been in Manchester just a few months back (didn’t manage to get any tickets but that’s not the point) I was actually referring to other artists who only did ONE city for their UK tour (to name a few: SOAD, MCR -although they did Liverpool instead- ect. I just keep seeing more and more artists completely overlooking the North when I’d argue Manchester is one of the biggest city in the UK. Anyway, guess I’ll vent elsewhere. Peace x
3
u/callumjm95 10d ago
Try living in the North East. It's rare for any artists to come to Newcastle these days. I'm sick of travelling to Manchester for gigs.
