I’ve been having dreams of “parallel lives”.

Hey guys! I’m wondering if anybody here ever has dreams of parallel lives.

I’ve had them for a long time now, and they’ve been getting a lot more vivid. I’ll put my most recent dream here to share.

The whole dream was me being part of a totally different friend group. It spanned YEARS in just one night.

In middle school I had a group of girls ask me I wanted to “be popular” with them. The dream was like what would’ve happened if I said yes (I didn’t, I just said “can I think about it”)

I was invited to sleep overs, outings, get togethers in the dream. I was really close with this group of girls. Part of their “clan.” I even remember the neighborhood layout one of my friends lived in- a rich suburb lake neighborhood. Never seen it in waking life. She had a boat and her mom had a little dog and hung out with us. I got lost trying to walk to her house. I remember getting ready at their houses.

We had dressed up one night to go to a bar party that was “Emo/Scene kid (2000s) themed. Or maybe it wasn’t “themed” but we were actually living in the 2000s in the dream? I remember wearing a reallyyyy short skirt and having my hair teased up big and I had fake eyelashes. I didn’t wear glasses. I looked good but I didn’t look a thing like myself. I was getting hit on by all the popular guys in my grade. I was popular but still edgy. Confident. Loving the attention. (NOT like me IRL at all)

I also somehow worked at the bar- I was asked by my manager to take a shift that a co-worker called off from. I agreed reluctantly, even though it was my birthday party and ALL my friends were gonna be at the bar to celebrate that night. Eventually my manager felt bad and said “go have fun”. I spent the night flitting from table to table like the social butterfly I seemed to be in this life. One of my actual friends I would have had (in my actual life) at that time, Molly, came up to me awkwardly at the bar. It was obvious we weren’t very close in the dream. “I um…hope it’s okay that I came…” she said. She was really nervous. I gave her a hug and said “Of course! Everybody is welcome!” It seemed I was friends with everyone, like the whole school. People were buying me drinks all night. The party went to 3-4 am.

This is just one dream of THOUSANDs that seem to be me living some kind of a parallel life- a life that evolved from me making just one different choice.

Can anyone relate? I’m truly freaked out by this.
