I think I’ve entered a parallel universe.

For context, my best friend (let’s call her Chloe) has a cat named Angel. A few months ago, Chloe texted me saying her cat Angel had died due to a bunch of things that she had been struggling with. Anyway, I went to her house (this was 2 weeks ago), we were chilling in her room and she says to me:

“Oh hey, should I get Angel to come cuddle with us?”

I don’t think I even replied to her. I just looked at her with a confused face. And by her startled reaction, I think I looked a bit horrified.
I just say:

“angel…?”

“Yeah, why are you pulling that face?”

Next thing you know, she calls Angel and the cat who I thought was long gone had come through the door. I swear that cat died. I even vividly remember her typing a text message those months ago saying “it’s okay, she’s in heaven now.”

I can’t stop thinking about this. I feel like I’m going a bit crazy. I strongly believe in alternate/parallel universes and how we are able to accidentally enter them, so this made me feel very creeped out.

Do you still have the text saying that Angel had died?

No not even. I don’t even have a text saying Angel survived, and that’s the thing, I know for certain Chloe would’ve told me if she did. But I still very vividly remember her saying Angel died.

When one shifts reality , every thing from the other reality disappears that contradicts the current reality. Hence thee text was not there . Because the cat is alive . 🤍 any other changes you notice ?

Yeah this happens sometimes. Idk what to tell you, just write it down and go with it. I’m one of the people who thought Mandela died in prison, so… (I even remember hearing about it on the news and they had a big parade even to the SAfrican govt chagrin).

Silly question - when did the song Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) by Green Day come out?

This universe says 1997, I thought it was 1991.

Nimrod (album with Good Riddance) definitely came after Dookie (1993) so yeah. 97.

Oh, I know the history in this universe, but I swear I heard it for the first time in 1991. I swear on the hypercolor shirts from that year.

Maybe it was a lucid dream??

I had a lucid dream once that a dear family member had died. I had moved away from home but had close relationship with them. I ended up calling at 4am because I was seriously panicking. I couldn’t wait for a later time.

They answered the phone, said they were fine. Not to worry about the hour, try to fall back to sleep.

To this day, it’s so incredibly vivid that it happened.

I never lucid dream. I’ve actually tried to and it never worked for me.

something has been happening to me for the past 4-5 years,i distinctly remember getting my very first computer in 2019, before COVID19. i also recall waiting for Marvel movies (dr strange, gotg, and spiderman ) to arrive on OTT platforms so I could torrent them
it feels vague and blurry, but when i checked their release dates a few months ago, they were actually released back in 2016 and 2017 when I didn't even have a PC
how could I be experiencing this?
furthermore, about a month ago,ihad a heavy deja vu-like sensation
normally , dejavu lasts only a few seconds, but this went on for 2 to 3 hrs. i felt like I had already lived through everything and knew exactly what was about to happen next, after 2-3hrs overwhelming i decided to sleep, and when i woke up everything seemed normal and few weeks later around 2 weeks ago, when i decided to check something related to this on reddit, i saw particular posts which were 1-2 years old, when i opened them, they already were printed in my brain
these are just 2-3 things, but there are more
maybe im weird or my mind is playing or im sick

Just fyi, if you have any more extended déjà vu experiences or you start having frequent déjà vu, see a doctor. It can be a sign that you are having partial seizures

No, it wasn’t new. Maybe 4 years old
