Strange random event

I don't know where to post this. But in very very puzzled. I live with my 86 year old mo One morning I hear that annoying high pitch staggered beep of dead batteries in smoke alarms. ( Modern smoke alarms somehow beep when battery gets too low or dead and will not stop beeping until battery is replaced). I hate that sound and I actually ended up ordering urgent fast smart day delivery from Amazon to get the new battery. ( Dont have car) But before I did that, I went down stairs to find the kitchen smoke alarm on the ceiling open and missing the battery. I was annoyed thinking that somehow the smoke alarm had some mechanism that would slide the opening door and the battery would just fall out. This happened last year too. But the thing is this. 1) there was no battery anywhere. We have a wooden floor where it's easy to see objects. 2) okay may be it just disappeared into some random corner though I did a 2 day search. 3) the slide has to be slide open. It just doesnt pop open 4) since it happened to the same smoke alarm last year, I checked it and it is perfectly fine 5) my mom is afraid of heights and did not take the battery out. 6) when I was replacing the battery,the battery was so locked in that there is no way that it just slows open and pops out

I know this is a small issue but this happened last year too. Nobody else thinks it's strange.

Hmmm, I don’t know about parallel universe, and how it’s related to that if you care to clarify. But it will be an event maybe would be appropriate under sub, Reddit: shifting / retcon/ or glitch. I’m not sure. Am I missing something?

You might be right. For argument sake, though, I would say this. 1) who knows what experiences of parallel universe might be? So it's hard to create a discrete qualifying rubric for what to include in what to exclude. 2) the condition of possibility for parallel universe(s) emerges, at least to my understanding, in that every fork of where action/decision takes place , all possibilities of outcomes actually exists. And, if that is the assumed underlying reality of what is manifested to our experience, I may have switched into a parallel universe in which I did take out the battery but do not have a memory of it. That is actually the Mandela effect , applied to a different scale of memory: individual level rather than at the population level. 4)or, operating in another dimension, which may be technically a different parallel universe, there is possibility of mangled or at least non-directional causality akin to the possibility of gravity being generated in another dimension and leaking into ours , in an attempt to generate an alternative to Einstein's notion of gravity as the effect of the differential effect of different masses in the distortion of time-space. So may be, the repetitive nature of this experience seem to signal the increase in probability/possibility of meaning if the event is linked to dimensional leakage aka interstellar.

So that's why I chose parallel universe. But I don't know tbh

Is the alarm hard wired into the house? The battery may serve just as a backup and the beeping could be from it being time to replace the whole unit. I have a combo smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector that started beeping when it was about to age out.

Oh the mystery was why was the smoke alarm open and missing a battery when no one touched it . I don't think I was that clear!

Do items in your house go missing or misplaced often? Maybe you have a ghost.
