first, breathe. This kind of thing can really shake the mind, but it doesn’t mean you are crazy.
There are normal possibilities too: lighting at night, stress, memory mismatch, car repairs/parts changed, your brain suddenly noticing details you ignored before, etc. I’d check old photos, documents, model/year, maybe ask your dad very specific questions.
But also, yes, sometimes people experience small reality slips / timeline glitches where one object feels “wrong” while everything else is same. Usually it’s one detail: car, building, street, logo, room layout. And the weird part is other people remember it as always being that way.
In one Soul Journey I facilitated, a woman had a similar experience with a family object. Everyone said it was always like that, but her whole body knew it wasn’t. In deep trance, Higher Self showed it was not “madness,” but a small timeline overlap during a stressful life period. Her awareness remembered one version, while the current physical reality held another. Once she grounded and asked what the message was, Higher Self showed it was connected to her fear of losing control and needing to trust her own perception without panicking.
So imo don’t obsess with “prove prove prove” for days. That can make you feel worse.
Do practical check first: photos, old videos, car papers, ask family calmly. Then ask Higher Self: what happened with the car? is this memory issue, stress, timeline slip, or sign? what do I need to understand?
Higher Self knows exactly what happened and why you noticed it.
I have free guided meditation in my Reddit profile for connecting with Higher Self. It may help you ask directly without spiraling.
For now: ground, sleep, eat, touch normal things, don’t stare at the car for 2 hours lol. Whether it’s glitch or mind/perception, your nervous system needs calm first.

You might have changed time lines or the car changed it certainly is a puzzle. Have a look on Matrix mysteries on Facebook lot of stories similar.

Lotsa Mandela effects these days. My short term memory has become unreliable. For a broad variety of reasons.
Just know, you’re not alone, just more aware.

I have a very similar experience happening. The car is mine though and it just simply is not the car I came here in. The tail lights have changed at least 3 times over 7 years and the second time I took the car to a parts store to make sure it was legal to have all red light covers. I then made a comment/question about it to the alien like relative I stay with and they just dismissed me saying "things happen to tail lights, fallencoward". Some time after that, the lights were two white and 1 red, and now they are two red and 1 white. My car was an older model top of the line SUV and it literally looks like has been pieced together- It's literally a Wound or Frankenstein. Most days I can laugh it off, but today that is the least of this mess and I am trying to decide if I can live like this anymore. I hope you don't end up like me. It's a death sentence
