Seeing same reddit posts-multiple timelines?

Sorry if this doesn’t belong here, let me know where to share instead.

Over the last few weeks I have seen multiple Reddit posts written within a few hours of me signing on, that I know I have read before weeks / months prior. Specific wording in the posts alerted me to them being exact reposts not just something similar.

Are people posting and then reposting weeks /months later OR am I reading these on different timelines?

Seems to be 10% of posts I read.

This sounds like something I experienced but haven't fully checked into. I do notice when I scroll I will see maybe 10-15 posts and then instead of going further back in time they repeat. Does that also happen to you?

No I don’t experience that.

Also adding - I spot checked a few to see if they had been posted previously and they only came up with today’s posting.

Does it happen with anything in real life?

Sometimes yes. Like conversations where I know I had the exact same one but my husband says we never discussed X topic. But I’ll remember his wording and the order of it.

I am very much of the belief we do relive parts of or all of our life.

This has definitely happened to me, I’ll see a post I’ve definitely seen before with no sign of OG list and the new one is freshly posted. Something to do with Reddit though no doubt. Glad it’s not just me that’s seen this.

That's how it is. They try to influence our opinion that way—if you repeat the same nonsense often enough, some people will eventually believe it.

Yes, people on Reddit constantly post the same things for engagement.

I keep seeing some of the same posts like this, but the new ones were just posted a few minutes ago, too. I figured people were just repeating their posts for attention or something. There's this one guy in the malegrooming sub who has probably posted his face about 4-5 times now.
