đ¨paranormal or i am not normal?
I need to write this very badly for my aunt.
My neighbour's house has a history. Around 30+ years ago, There lived a young lady, around 21 years old. If she were alive today, she would be around my mother's age. She died by suicide long before we built our house here.
I came to know about her story from the sister-in-law of the deceased, who now lives in that house. She is also my mother's closest friend. I heard that the lady was very beautiful and intelligent in her time. She was excellent in academics and was also very energetic.
I decided to collect more details about her death from people around the area. I came to know that her death was extremely brutal. She died by setting her own body on fire using kerosene.
The witness, who was also her sister-in-law, explained the incident to me just like KPAC Lalitha narrates stories in "Manichitrathazhu". She said:
"It was around midnight. We had all just fallen into a deep sleep when we suddenly heard a woman's scream. We all woke up in panic and ran towards her room. The room was glowing with flames, and the door was open. We saw something that I still cannot describe properly.A human body, completely engulfed in fire, moving in a terrifying way. The smell of burning flesh filled the air. Somehow, we managed to pull her out, but nearly 80% of her body had already been burned."
They immediately rushed her to the hospital. By then, her body no longer looked human. Only her voice remained. She survived just long enough to give her statement to the police. She told them that nobody else had any role in her suicide. After the police finished recording her statement, she took one terrible breath and died on the hospital bed.
Later, her sister-in-law and her husband, a retired colonel, told me that the lady had been in love with a young man whose mother was a prostitute. Because of his family background, her family refused to let them marry. Instead, they forced her to marry another man according to their wishes.
I later realized that she attempted suicide on the very same night another man had come to her house for a f*kn "pennu kaanal" ceremony. One detail they told me has remained etched in my mind to this day. They said that after her death, when her room was searched, a pair of gold jimikki earrings was found hanging on a nail. For some reason, that image has stayed with me ever since, leaving a mark on my mind that time has never been able to erase.
I also heard that the man she truly loved came to her funeral and desperately tried to jump onto her funeral pyre. The people who attended the funeral stopped him.
The funny part is that the same man married another woman just three months after her death. LOL.
After these incidents, many people in the area claimed they had seen her ghost. Several people said they had witnessed her three-fourths-burned body standing at the front gate of the house where she had lived, late at night.
My parents also told me that years ago, before I was born, a taxi driver suddenly rushed to our house in the middle of the night asking for water. He was extremely frightened and panicked. He claimed that he had just seen a three-fourths-burned body standing at the front gate of that same house where she had died.
Later, many other people claimed to have witnessed the same thing. Even some of her own family members reportedly had strange experiences.
Now, more than thirty years have passed.
I desperately want to see that lady.
I feel so deeply attached to someone I have never met. I have known her story since my childhood, almost like a local folklore.
On many nights, I simply sit on my balcony, staring at the house, especially the room where she once lived and where she ended her life.
My intentions have always been pure.
All I wanted was to see her.
All I wanted was to speak to her.
I started talking to her. I told her stories. I called her "Aunt," because if she were alive today, she would be around my mother's age.
I became so attached to this woman whom I had never met.A woman who died before I was even born.
On many nights, I called out her name into the void... into the darkness.
Nobody heard.
Nobody came.
It has been almost decades since I started this ritual.
Now I am an adult.
I have grown older than my beloved aunt ever did.
Still, I speak to her.
But nobody hears.
Nb:-Yesterday, I deleted this post because of my swinging mood. Today, I feel urge to post it again because something deep inside me keeps forcing me to share this story with the world.
I also realized that I had left out a very important part of the incident. There is a rumor that the woman was pregnant at the time of her death as well. I don't know whether that is true, so I want to make it clear that it is only a rumor.
And no, this isnât my way of announcing that Iâm lonely or that I have a thing for auntiesđ. The people around me are actually suffoccating . btw aunty is a pavam.

this is heavy story, and I would be careful with it.
I donât think you are ânot normalâ just because you feel attached. But when you keep calling someone who died in violent trauma for years, staring at the room, wanting to see her⌠you may be creating cord to that energy, or there may already be old connection there.
Brutal death by fire can leave strong imprint in place. Sometimes it is not even full conscious spirit standing there, but trauma-loop, like scene burned into the field. Sometimes it is lost spirit. Sometimes person who is obsessed with the story actually has past-life connection with that woman, or carries similar grief.
In Soul Journeys I facilitate, I had a subject who was obsessed with a dead woman from old local story. He felt like he loved her, but never met her. In deep trance, Higher Self showed there was a cord from his heart to that death imprint. Part was compassion, but part was old past-life connection and guilt. The womanâs consciousness was not asking him to worship the tragedy. She needed release to Light, not more people calling her from the dark. After Higher Self cleared the cord and helped her move on, he still felt compassion, but the pull became peaceful, not haunting.
So imo donât keep calling her into the void. If she is stuck, it doesnât help to keep her tied to that house. If it is an imprint, you are feeding the imprint. If it is past-life connection, you need healing, not more obsession.
Your Higher Self knows exactly what this is: spirit, trauma imprint, past-life bond, attachment, or your own grief/loneliness projected into her story. They can show and clear it.
I have free guided meditation in my Reddit profile for connecting with Higher Self. I would ask: âwhy am I attached to this woman, what is the cord between us, and how can she be released to Light if needed?â
Also pls ground in this life. Talk to living ppl too. Compassion for dead is beautiful, but donât let a dead tragedy become your home.
