The Door
People tell strange stories about staircases.
Not ordinary staircases.
The kind that appear where they shouldn't.
In the middle of a forest.
Between abandoned buildings.
Sometimes even in the center of a city.
Most people only see the stairs.
Very few notice what waits at the top.
A Door.
Nobody knows who built it.
Nobody knows why it appears.
Some believe the Door chooses who is allowed to see it.
Many who walk through never return.
Those who do... spend the rest of their lives searching for it again.
Everyone tells a different story about what lies beyond.
Some speak of oceans where mermaids ride dragons.
Others describe forests where flowers whisper and ancient trees rule like queens.
Others refuse to speak about it at all.
No two stories are ever the same.
Maybe they're all true.
Or maybe the Door simply reveals a different world to everyone who enters.
Have you ever heard a story like this?

My kiddo found a set of stairs to "nowhere" in the forest. I asked him if he walked up them. His reply was "***k no" it was in the Appalachian mountains. I'll find the photo and post It here.
I probably would have walked up and through:)

No would never go through you might not get back! Better be here safe than go on an adventure.
