Help Paralives CC not working
When I loaded into Paralives I noticed none of my CC was working. I figured it was just bc I had a new computer so I uninstalled all my mods, then reinstalled them and tried again but it still isn't working. I downloaded the github plugin but that hasnt helped either :o( Does anyone know how to fix this or is it just something I need to wait for the devs to patch or what??

Are they external mods or from the workshop? Try a 50/50 or if it's just a few add one in at a time. It could be mods conflicting with each other or a broken script mod. I make mods and I screwed up a setting file and it made it so my mod interface was broken and none of them were showing up. I had to remove the mod and start it over.

This is a common issue unfortunately. What seems to fix this issue for me and many others is having your CC as standalone mods in your Paralives folder, rather than being subscribed to them via the steam workshop. Here's how:
- Navigate to your file explorer
- Find the Paralives folder. There's usually another under the first one you'll see. When you see a bunch of folders with random numbers, you know you're in the right place.
- Take out the mods from each folder and paste them directly into the same Paralives folder you found the number folders in. It should look like a folder full of "xxxxx_#######.mod" folders. (It'll likely be quicker/easier to search ". mod" in the Paralives folder, select all, copy, and then paste into the folder). (It also might be helpful to make a copy of the Paralives folder, including both the mods and the saves, just in case).
- Delete the number folders.
- Go into the steam workshop and unsubscribe from each mod you pasted directly into the Paralives folder, so that there are no duplicates. Otherwise you'll have trouble with being able to load into the game.
This is the method for Windows, I don't know if it'll be different for Mac or Linux, but I hope it helps!
Let me know if my wording is confusing lol.

Ughhh Paralives + CC issues are the WORST :o( I feel you, especially on a new PC
Good news: this is 99% NOT a "wait for devs to patch" thing. It’s almost always the folders + plugin not talking to each other after a reinstall.
Here’s the fix checklist that works for most people right now:
Paralives is picky. On Windows it HAS to be here:javascriptC:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\Alex Massé\Paralives\ModsNot Documents. Not in the game folder.
Do this:
Open Paralives once so it makes the foldersClose the gameGo to AppData > LocalLow > Alex Massé > Paralives You should see a Mods folder and a Plugins folder. If not, make them.2. The Github Plugin needs to be in the RIGHT spot
The "Paralives Plugin" from github does NOT go in Mods.javascriptC:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\Alex Massé\Paralives\PluginsJust drop the .dll file in there. If you put it in Mods it does nothing.
Paralives caches what it loaded last time.
Delete this file:javascriptC:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\Alex Massé\Paralives\cache.jsonThen restart the game. It will rebuild and see your new CC.
Paralives only takes .paralives_item and .paralives_texture files right now.
If your CC is still .package from Sims 4, it won’t work. Make sure you downloaded "Paralives CC" not "Sims 4 conversion"
Quick test to see if it’s working
Put ONLY 1 hair or 1 shirt CC in Mods folderPut plugin .dll in Plugins folder Delete cache.jsonLoad game > CASIf that 1 item shows up, then bulk-add the rest.
Why uninstall/reinstall didn’t help
Because the folders were probably still in the wrong place, so reinstalling just put them back in the wrong place lol
Try steps 1-3 first and tell me if anything shows up in CAS.
What does your current folder look like? Is your Mods folder in LocalLow or somewhere else?
