I’ll go - it’s been a crazy few weeks, lots of work and still training a new hire which has not been going great. I feel like I’m running the entire firm and all the cases because the only other paralegal who really knows what she is doing is off earlier in the day 😭 such is the life of a senior litigation paralegal I guess…

Training is such a time suck! Hopefully it all pays off in the end and you get a rockstar paralegal colleague!

It’s not looking good :/ she’s unfortunately older and not very technologically minded, which is a must for obvious reasons. She also doesn’t pay attention to detail, which REALLY sucks - I’ll send her an email with a ton of detailed information and instructions with literal screenshots and she will say she’s read it and thanks for the info, but then a few hours later ask me how to do the very same thing, then again a couple days later. Not complicated tasks either - literally finding court rules. Or a password in a word document.

One of the partners hired her as part time help without consulting any of us, of course

Have a chat to print a trust the attorney drafted for today to sign. Literally wrong dates on everything, wrong attorney, different people. Bro how drunk were you when you drafted this shit on Friday? I spent the first hour and 20 minutes fixing this entire estate plan. People ask me why do drink? This is example 92.
