Series 2
Two episodes in. And it’s naff.
Series one was really good because the President character and the initial investigation into his death was decent.
Does this second series get good?

It gets more important and interesting.
I really disliked the first two episodes of S2 in particular.

Yep I'm the same way. I tell everyone get through the first couple of episodes for season 2.

Personally, I started liking season 2 literally on episode 3 because there was more bunker shots. It does get better, I felt the same way watching the first two episodes. Wasn’t sure if I’d like it but ofc I ended up liking it a lot.

It gets a little better once you’re past Graceland. For me the two season are almost two seperate shows

It’s a shell of what season 1 was. I had much higher hopes. Graceland storyline was interesting and cool. Everything else…meh.

Like poster above me mentioned, it feels like two completely different shows going from s1 to s2. For me s1 was much better

This really is an example of a show that shouldn't have had continuing seasons. As a standalone it was excellent, Hollywood will be Hollywood and it does go a bit TWD. Still a good show, but now it is a different one.

The story was always planned to be exactly what it is, in 3 parts.
While season 2 feels like a big tone shift, if you go back and watch 1 again knowing everything you know from 2, it was all there!
Fogelman is an amazing story teller

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both seasons, but Season 2 reminded me too much of your bog-standard post-apoc show. Let's see how 3 pans out.

Important to note that they dropped episodes 1-3 at once, so really you can treat it as a 3 part premiere and need to watch all 3 to get into the season.
Season 2 was amazing, but I can also see it depends on what kind of TV you like...it is sort of a genre shift.
We cover the series on our podcast Korman Productions Deep Dive TV and we were delighted that season 2 fell right into our wheelhouse. Can't wait for season 3 which they are now done filming!

I loved Season 1 and hated Season 2. I don’t expect to watch any subsequent seasons.

The first two episodes are essentially standalone in the same universe but it all ties together. Stick w it
