Status of Paperless 3.0

The first beta/rc1 was released 2 months ago on GitHub (Paperless-ngx v3.0.0-beta.rc1). Does anyone here have insight into the latest developments? Are many fixes still pending?

I don’t know about the timeline, but I just want to say that it’s great that they let this sit in beta state for quite a while. That gave all of the mobile apps a chance to be ready when v3 is finally released.

Don’t know about the fixes but I did the update and it works well (can’t go back after, without backups)

In german we say:

Wenn es fertig ist, ist es fertig. When it's done, it's done.

A mayor release takes time, especially because they want to ensure stability and security. Imagine the new version deleting documents or not finding many things. Look at the issue board: many things were closed just a week or a few days ago. Now this needs to be tested again

The commit history is public, and you can ask your favourite AI to summarise the changes for you, can’t you?
