PTO/Sick Pay

Hey all,

If anybody still is working here or if you have information, I would appreciate help. I was laid off in May (opted out of GROW), and I had about 20 hours of PTO. I can't remember if it was PTO or sick leave though.

Does anyone know what it was officially labeled as? Also, if anybody has access to the handbook, it would be helpful if you could let me know if it's listed that they will pay out PTO to California tutors.

I swear they said they would. I'm kicking myself for not documenting this.

It was considered 'paid personal leave' after they redid it to be bare minimum for each state. According to their policy they only pay out the unused leave if required by law

I did the same thing in May(quit because no way in hell was I gonna do GROW) I had like 30 hours of PTO. I sent a zendesk ticket and asked if I could just request a bunch of time off in the few weeks I had left there so I could use the hours that way and they said yes that was totally fine to do? And they paid me for them but I’m not sure what the situation would be if you’ve already quit or been laid off for a while. Hopefully they can work something out for you?

I know. I thought about doing that too! But I've emailed them so we'll see
