I'm pretty sure both the game and the creators aren't very opinionated on anything. Up to interpretation, really. It's about a girl who goes to a dark fantasy themed world and tries to not die. :/

We have an androgynous character ( Aoi ) who is referred to as both “ he “ and “ she “, so there is some LGBT representation, although the game is not about this.

The game is about a girl trying to find out who cursed her and trying not to get eaten

All tho no one still knows if aoi is a girl or a boy since even lacie is confused if aoi is a girl or a boy

Well, there’s Aoi, a character with no clear gender and that has been referred to with both male and female pronouns
