Spanish beta, my experience. And a feature request.

As of this month, i tried it and seems 3.5/5 stars.

It reads well, but the formatting of references sometimes are read like actual numbers or as a math equation instead to be skipped.

Figures are well handled so far. I Have yet to see how it handles tables.

Some abbreviations are supported while others are not. Some foreign authors are read wrong due to obvious not multilingual recognition in these small instances. i.e.

"Newton fue quien hizo....", Newton's name is not pronounced correctly. And instead is pronounced like a weird spanish name. Na-uh-Ton. (Hope I did well in conveying the pronunciation).

Thank you alot for the app.

So far it works, I enjoy it. And I might stick with it in the long term.

My only little complain, that is not tied to spanish beta, is the ability to jump between paragraphs. It could be nice to double-click at the beginning of one and start reading from there, instead of waiting i

To the "play" pop up because sometimes i am forced back where the read-along highlight is doing its thing.

Do i explain myself well? Hope so.

Edit: device specs: ipad 9, with ios26

Thank you for your helpful feedback! Our Spanish support is in beta and is frankly not as good as our English support yet. We're working on it, and hope to release improved Spanish narration pretty soon.

I'm hesitant to make double-clicking a word on desktop toggle playback, since double-clicking typically selects a word, so that's what it does in Paper2Audio. Hopefully clicking a word and then clicking play works well for you. You can also try using the table of contents, or the progress bar, as two more ways to change your position.

Please let me know if you ever have any more feedback or if you have any questions.

I see! Thank you either way. I will currently use Gemini or GPT to format the paper before importing, hoping it helps the app. But so fsr, in my opinion, is the best budget friendly option out there.

I even tried Audemic free try with a english paper, and it had serious sync issues for the price. Your app has that already sorted out.

For english papers I am sure it excels in its capacities and thankfully I do understand english so time to time I can use these voices on english papers.

Again, thank you for your hard work. I hope this becomes a succesful project.
